I got on Jeopardy, and I have you guys to thank!

I haven’t posted here in several years, but I lurk occasionally, and back around February I happened across the annual “It’s Jeopardy Online Test Time!” thread. I decided to sign up on a whim… and to make a long story short, I passed the online test, got called for an audition, got called to be on the show, and taped three episodes last week. :smiley: I’d been in the contestant pool once before, back in 2004, but was never called, so it was a nice surprise to get the call this time around. I had a great time in LA meeting all the other contestants and the staff. Even if I hadn’t won anything, it still would’ve been a trip well worth making.

So, I just wanted to say thank you to all the random people that posted in that thread and inspired me to say, “Oh, what the hell,” and take the plunge - I couldn’t have done it without you!

Congratulations! Isn’t it supposed to be a secret whether you win or lose before the air date? I guess it still is a secret, since we don’t know who you are IRL. However, now you can’t tell us when to watch.

Congrats, and your post made me go look up your profile to see whether you’re my old friend, whose episode airs Friday. (You’re not, but that would have been totally cool.) Anyway I hope she’s on more than one episode, too!
