I went to the park with a friend and her boyfriend. We had been there about 2 hours when the BF told my friend to go get him a bottle of water. When she said that she was tired and wanted to rest, he SPIT on her.
Well, I lost it. I had a reflex reaction and knocked the shit out of this guy. They have been together 7 years and he has never had a job. He lives in her house and sits on the couch all day. I already didn’t care for the guy because of that, but when he spit on her, I couldn’t take it and clocked him in the jaw. Security showed up and escorted me out of the park about the time I was standing over him explaining that if I EVER saw him do anything like that again he would be eating through a freakin’ straw.
So my friend and I left the park (leaving her BF), went home, and proceeded to get snot slingin’ drunk. She thanked me for standing up for her and said no one had ever done that before.
After it was all over I felt guilty for about 2 seconds while I thought about the BF being about 5’9" and around 130lbs. while I am 6’3" and weigh in around 225lbs. The guilt quickly subsided. I think I was right to do what I did. I would have stood up for any woman that I saw a man spit on.
The really good news is that when the BF made it home (not sure how he got there) he said that he would break up with her if she didn’t stop hanging out with me…They are now broken up. She can do much better.
I hope to be at the front of what will undoubtably be a very long line of guys wishing to go out with her. I would really like to show her how a woman is supposed to be treated.
Whoo-Hoo. You go for it. Just tell all them other guys that the line starts here (while you point at yourself) and they will just have to take a number.
I’m glad she didn’t immediately drop to her knees and cradle his poor wittle head and call you every name in the book, though. Women who are attached to jerks sometimes do weird things.
Hey, way to go! If she was with the loser for that long, it sounds like she was stuck in an unhealthy caretaking mode. Women have this bad habit of convincing themselves that their SOs are not all that bad, and justifying totally unacceptable behavior. Sometimes all it takes is a good shock to knock someone out of this mode and make them realize that the behavior they had convinced themselves was acceptable is completely out of line from a normal person’s point of view (I speak from experience). It sounds like you gave her that when you cleaned his clock. I repeat: Good for you!
Does nobody appreciate dark humor anymore? Of course I’m joking. About the hitting of anybody, however; not just females. Acts of machismo can be almost as disappointing as acts of cowardice, IMHO.
