Ah, the blessed relief of the cold front!! The temps and humidity have dropped to amazingly comfortable levels. There’s a bit of a breeze, which is nice, except that I was going to spray the poison ivy to death today, and I need a still day for that. Small price to pay for such loverly weather!
No caterruptions overnight, so except for my bladder, I slept thru and I’m close to feeling rested. Yay! I think one of today’s chores will be sorting this pile of papers beside me. I know there’s at least one bill in there, and I think there are actually 2. I should probably take care of them. I’m hoping we’re at the end of the medical bills. Even with insurance, the deductibles and copays just since the beginning of the year have moved into the thousands, between my scalp cancer and my sweetie’s crowns and knee and fillings and (now) ear infection. Those copays, etc, were supposed to take us to Bermuda in October, but that ain’t gonna happen now. First world problems, I know. But **FCD **and I haven’t had a real vacation together in way too long.
Depending on what the wind does, I’ll either be spraying for poison ivy or mowing the back yard - those weeds are really ambitious! They shoot up way too fast! I’ve also got some viney things to transplant from one of my big planters to… somewhere. Maybe around the mailbox??
Howdy from the orifice! I survived this mornin’s trip to the east forty. Go Me! Now it’s orifice time until this afternoon when I shall venture forth locally to do two more local monitorin’s and then over to the church house to flip burgers. I have some shorts to change into for burger flippin’ cause, well, outside burger flippin’ calls for the proper attire and that is shorts. One must be fashionable after all!
The back yard has been mowed - I’ll do the front yard tomorrow, since I’m watering out there at the moment. I’ve also weed-whacked along the garden edges and in places where I didn’t mow. And I cleared the path thru the woods - it’s become rather overgrown since the last time I rode thru.
I’ve got the sprinkler going out front, and I pulled some weeds. I think it’s time for lunch. I’m going to WaWa to get a chef’s salad. And then, who knows…
As my friend from Russia used to say
Only in America do you have zee day for zee huumph. She told her husband that it is American law, that one must hump on hump day.
It’s chilly in here, a cloudy 58 degrees outside with a projected high of 67.
I needed a blanket last night.
Lots to do today, maybe not so many interruptions.
My mother called yesterday and in under 10 minutes she managed to bitch about Sah-son’s hair, niece1 husband, Obama, Michele, the riots, deceased bf1 and his wife, deceased bf2, senior housing, and living by herself.
She needs a bf, or a hobby.
