A friend of mine who teaches chemistry used them. I could not decide why, and was embarrassed to ask, unless it was intended to be an easy test.
I’m pretty sure this one has no plans to retire any time soon. She’s not THAT old, is apparently quite healthy, and enjoys her work. I suspect she did a final exam mostly as a formality, this being a practicum class.
Wondering about tomorrow’s final, though, since that prof is a good deal older, with chronic health issues that seem to be getting worse quickly lately. He may well not be teaching again next academic year. In fact, running a quick search for fall semester classes with an instructor by that name yielded no results, so this may well be his last semester teaching. 
Supper was yum. I just finished cleaning a quart of strawberries and slicing them up with some sugar - future yum!
Taz is back on The List - he peed on the bed in the blue room, so both guest rooms are locked up again. Stoopit cat.

Made it home in time to walk Gordie before hockey tonight’s dinner will be honey teriaki chicken with green tea rice and broccoli with shitake mushrooms in a sesame sake sauce.

Howdy Y’all! Back at da cave after grillin’ eleventy bazillion burgers and hot dawgs. Ok, maybe not that many but if felt like it whilst the grillin’ was happenin’. Anywho, they got et and a good time was had by all. As a part of tonight’s events (which did involve Evening Prayer and Holy Communion) the kidlets and not so kidlets, decorated balloons, which were then filled with helium and released as a reminder of Jesus’ Ascension into Heaven, this bein’ the Eve of Ascension and all. Tomorrow is The Feast of The Ascension. Thus endeth today’s religious instruction.
red I did indeed wear an apron, my Have You Hugged An Episcopalian Today apron. That’s my official church cookin’ apron.

Somehow, I have developed a blister on my upper inner lip. IT FRICKIN’ HURTS!!! Tomorrow I will go out and get something for it; if that doesn’t help, there’s an urgent care clinic less than a mile away - maybe they can shoot it with some novacaine or something. Meanwhile, it’s too early to take another pain pill and I am miserable!!!
