Tried running it but got an error message that it couldn’t find vcl60.bpl. Anyone know where I can download this?
damn. I meant to ask - (I am not quite sure about my compile settings. I am trying to get it so that ‘vcl60.bpl’ is inside the executable.) Is anyone else (who’ve never had borland c++ builder instaled on their machine) had problems with the program?

Unzip it to Windows\System32
you can get it here. Grab the whole Borland Component Package and extract all of it to a directory specified in your path. (I used C:\WINNT)
A big giant :smack: for not paying attention to this thread. Turns out a couple of people are having problems with needed files.
I have created stuff in the past that I compiled in such a way that all needed dlls were ‘inside’ the executable (making it large, but also more convenient). I tried to do that this time, the whole idea of letting people know and have this app was based on the belief that it would successfuly compile to be self-sufficient.
Does it ask for more than just vcl60.bpl?
Heheh, this is all very familiar… Kudos to you Lobsang, sounds like your app does things that I wanted to do with mine, but my enthusiasm fizzled out when I hit the DLL dependency problems.
BTW, on my machine it says it needs RTL60.BPL - I’m downloading the Borland component package now.
Yes Lobsang it is more than vcl60.bpl. Once I installed that then it asked me for something else. I just downloaded the Borland Component Package from VenusProbe’s link and it works just fine now.

I am intrigued by this little program. You could concievably add all sorts of good features. Like URLs and such. I would also add a permanent feature to all posts similar to the one below.
