Not notably well so far, but hope springs eternal. He seems to be under the impression this board is filled with ‘Conservatives’, or at least lily liver’ed Conservative apologists. Hilarious.
I’d never really considered that, the personal responsibility if my incisive intelligence and crystalline logic so utterly shatters some tighty-righty’s worldview that…bereft, lost and despairing, they fling themselves off a building to spatter hamburger jello all over the sidewalk…
Wait, you’re accusing me of unoriginal insults? And that flailing around that you call insults was supposed to be innovative? Really? Heck I’m just glad you don’t call me what your family calls you, that would really hurt.
Did you talk to your doctor yet about upping your meds? Your delusions are getting quite out of hand. I mean, do you really think anyone gives a shit what you think?
Well, there is the noted apologist Giraffe, who called the OP a fucktard. Giraffe is a Conservative apologist, right? I seem to have lost my scorecard.
No, he wants to play nice with Conservatives. He doesn’t like people who give them the abuse they give. One of those points that I acknowledge but disagree with. (Sleestak, are you listening?)
You see, what you think makes little difference to me. I’ve predicted the fall of the GOP and Conservatism before and even the election of President Obama from as far back as 2005. I was telling Democrats after they got STOMPED in the 2004 election not to fret because the GOP was going to take a nasty fall - and guess what? They did, starting in 2005 and climaxing in 2006.
When history has its say it’s not you that winds up laughing.
You’;re conflating two things: conservatism with the mainstream republican party. What you seem to not be aware of is that Conservatives thought the Republicans lost there way during the time you mention (and earlier) and were fine with them falling on their faces. I know I was, because only then would real conservatism be allowed to be the counterpoint to liberalism. Obama and majorities in both houses has been a godsend in that regard. And now that people see what the Dems really want to do, there has been a strong conservative resurgence, one which will be reflected come November. So, if you don’t like the way things are now, you’re going to hate where things will be after November.
No…I’m accusing you of being an idiot of epic…biblical even…proportions. I’m laughing at you for your unoriginal counter insults…
To paraphrase the great sage Inigo Montoya…you have a truly staggering <insert whatever lower life forms use to substitute for intellect>. No one could have predicted in 2005(!! :p) the decline of the Republicans. It took an eagle eyed observer such as yourself to make such a bold prediction. Certainly no one on this board thought that the Republicans were on the way out…
Well, a strong Tea Party resurgence maybe. I think the social conservatives are outnumbering the fiscal conservatives (once again). And I think that although the Dems will lose ground in November, you may find yourself surprised at the direction the independent voter may take when confronted with a far-right social conservative choice. Time will certainly tell.
So will most of America… that is, if these Conservatives have the balls to make good on their promises. Cutting medicare? Privatizing Social Security? By the time the AARP is done with you you guys are going to be walking funny. When you guys put an end to unemployment extensions hooboy. That’s another HUGE voting block you’ll alienate. Targeting Hispanic people to pull over and see if they’re citizens? There goes the hispanic voters.
Talk about godsends. Oh, yeah. I’m just hoping you guys have the courage to really cut Government the way you’ve been screaming about doing it.
Ah yes, you’ve deluded yourself into thinking your accusations mean jack shit.
Nothing you’ve said is original, dude. You’re incapable of original thought, much less original insults. You’ve been in replays since you started flailing around like a flag in the wind at me. You got bullied in school and now you want to be the bully and I’m laughing at you instead of being intimidated. That’s gotta sting.
Now let’s hear your “not original!!!” broken record go skip again, shall we?
Maybe. Personally, I think that whatever gains the Republicans manage will be more out of anger or whatever from the voters wrt the Democrats than it will be because Conservatism is on the upsurge in the US (that and structural changes that will get the 'Pubs some seats just from that alone). Same thing that Liberals thought in 2006, i.e. that the country was swinging left. The reality, IMHO, is that people were sick of the Republicans in 2006 and simply voted the Republicans out, instead of voting Democrats in, as it were. And Obama is mostly a moderate…a left leaning moderate, to be sure, but still a moderate.
Well, you see, as in many things you are completely wrong. The difference between you and I is I KNOW my opinions don’t mean jack shit. You actually think yours are relevant, insightful and have some sort of meaning. Sadly, they aren’t any of those things.
This is merely one of myriad differences between us, of course. Your IQ is measured in single digits, mine is constantly in an alcohol induced fog. You are deluded, I’m an ass. You have your faith to keep you warm, the fervor of the righteous…I have my mockery to keep me snug as a bug in a rug. The list goes on and on.
Nope…not original in the slightest, old boy! In fact, I used pretty much the same insults before (sorry to say, I recycled many of the stock phrases from heaping similar mockery on other posters in other threads…hope you don’t take that badly, but you weren’t worth the effort of coming up with anything new). Hell, not only is it not original on my part, it’s not even particularly insightful, since my guess is that there is a super-majority of posters on the 'dope who have equally come to the militantly obvious conclusion that you are a complete idiot.
True enough. There is always a healthy amount of anger towards a sitting administration, particularly when there is a recession and higher than normal unemployment. When a relatively tiny proportion of voters are actually “swing” voters, all it would take is for a small percentage of voters who usually vote Democrat to stay home and sit on their hands.
I got a better idea. How about everybody puts you on ignore? Then you can howl like a broke-dick dog all you want and you won’t be annoying the adults.
