I hate Conservatives.

You call yourself an adult? More delusions of grandeur. Use ignore all you want. You’ll find I really do not care. Once again, allow me to repeat: you putting me on ignore means a hill of shit. No, wait, at least shit can fertilize something; at least it’s useful.

Howl like a broke-dick dog? Yeah, you definitely got pissed when I showed you that red states take in more welfare dollars than they produce. I bet this or this will really piss you off!

Personally, I think the OP is right on the money, and I’m rather enjoying watching the conservative heads explode in this thread as a result.

As far as the “rational discussion” proponents in this thread, the ones supposedly “on my side” - that goal, no matter how noble it may be, is getting us nowhere. It stopped being effective once the Karl Rove mentality became commonplace in the Republican Party. They have zero respect for you, they will never work with you, and they will do anything in their power to ensure that you never even get so much as a compromise. The only way the dems will ever get anything accomplished is when they start using their power, rather than trying to play fair. It’s sad that it has to be that way, but we were really given no other choice in the matter.

Now now, perhaps we should let Giraffe and co. get their way for a while. Let history show what a dismal failure this approach is. Then we can come back, pick up the pieces, run these right wing clowns out of town, and try to get back to a semblance of civility.

Of course I’m being facetious. I wouldn’t want the country to suffer while we wait for people like that to realize they’ll never get anywhere with Conservatives while being nice. Sadly I fear though that we’ll not have a choice, because Obama takes this route too, and look what it’s gotten him.

See, lots of young buckaroos wander into SDMBstone, looking to make a name for themselves, think they got a fast keyboard. Itchy post finger. Mostly, they end up out there on Reboot Hill, deader than DOS. Well, reckon that’s about all I go to tell you, got to be movin’ on. Happy trolls to you. Until we meet again.

Oh, almost forgot: stay away from the Waco Kid.

I just came here looking to see if anyone could defend offshoring. I didn’t expect the pro-offshoring crowd to shoot their own cause in the head by accident.

Ain’t even had a bullet whiz by me much less through me.

Not sure about that, plenty seemed to wizz over your head.
Black Knight with a teabag.

I may not be fond of conservatives but I’m definitely not with the OP. He’s on his own.

I love liberals. They’re cute when they get all miffed. Some of them smell good.

Jesus fucking christ. You wouldn’t know a fact-based argument if it slapped you round the face. A lot of the time it’s not even clear what point you’re trying to make since the content of your posts largely consists of infantile posturing and hot-air.

And your opinions aren’t original or insightful, they are just so fucking moronic that everyone alse has already discarded them as worthless. People in that thread weren’t pro-offshoring, they were just anti your ill-conceived bullshit.

This statement alone shows OP’s incisive grasp of current economic issues. California is in so much better shape than Texas. I’m glad he’s on the case.

Gotta love a guy who starts a thread about how bad conservatives are, and then uses Conservapedia as a cite.

And speaking as one of the token conservatives in this particular playpen, I want to encourage Le Jaque-off to remain here as long as possible, and start as many threads as possible. You have done more to discredit your side in ten days than I have in ten years.

Regards,
Shodan

Oh really.

Care to say that again?

The difference between you guys and the Black Knight is at least he didn’t chop off his own limbs in the process.

So, the OP hates a group of people because he thinks they’re different from him, and would get rid of them completely if it wasn’t too expensive. And he says THEY are right wing. Priceless, absolutely fucking priceless.
You are a tit, please be silent.

Not over, on.

Regards,
Shodan

Who’s this “everybody”, Baboon? I posted citations to support a ton of things and one by one you refused to address them directly.

Speaking of infantile posturing? You guys were accusing me of things like wanting to isolate the United States, a position which would certainly qualify as infantile posturing, except that I proposed no such thing. When called out on that, you guys ran off like cockroaches exposed to the light.

Now I’ve shown you a specific example of what makes you a bunch of infantile losers who have to distort posts to bolster your points. Your turn. Oh wait, don’t even bother. You’re not even man enough.

There, there, Jacquey - you just need to find an understanding woman who doesn’t mind that your penis is that size. Heck, your mother said she had encountered lots and lots of men who had the same problem. And she probably wasn’t even talking about you.

Shodan

Must agree with that. The US is generally center-right relative to the rest of the world and has been holding steadily there for a while.

The faction that is most emotionally invested in the election is likelier to show up to vote than the faction that would generally support the sitting majority in normal circumstances but can’t find very much to point to and cheer. And as often happens, those they elect will be likely to disappoint, once they get to DC and realize that* no, they can’t *just do what you wanted them to, even with supermajorities. To borrow a phrase, by '06, it was the “Professional Right” that had lost enthusiasm for the sitting Republicans.

Then there was the idiocy of Shodan comparing trade barriers against low wage nations to the blanket tariffs of Smoot-Hawley. The two weren’t even remotely the same and he couldn’t admit that.

Then when I pointed out that if his reasoning was in fact correct and all trade barriers = Smoot-Hawley, he’s doomed the entire concept that Smoot-Hawley was bad because the exact opposite consequences happened for China (their trade didn’t plummet, instead they’re making a killing off of exports!).

Shodan, of course, declined to answer that one.

Yet ANOTHER example of you guys being guilty of the “infantile posturing” you accuse me of.

Then there was John Mace’s hilarious comment “The US was the only major industrialized country that didn’t have its infrastructure blown to smithereens…” which others rushed in and beat me to it to dispel with examples of Australia and Canada. He couldn’t man-up and retract that bullshit.

We now go over to RickJay’s “1. You’ve stated the USA consumes more food than it produces, which is false.” - attacking me based on a statement that I never made. Wasn’t man enough to admit he was wrong there. Or his other laughable statement “I certainly am denying that Henry Ford raised wages so his employees could afford them, yes.” Even though every source that goes in-depth about his life cites this as one of his motivations for raising his workers’ wages, here comes RickJay the one guy in the world who wants to deny history.

Then there was Xtisme claiming that the only college education-oriented jobs lost to offshoring are basket-weaving jobs. Soon as I showed him a solid cite that these jobs included biotech research, he ran away then.
I could go on practically forever with examples of you guys and your infantile posturing and your inability to admit when you’re wrong.

And speaking of incoherent babbling:

“Trade can be lose-lose when everyone has tariffs. But that doesn’t mean you have win-lose when one puts up tariffs and the other doesn’t.” - John Mace
