Damnit! I live five minutes from Focus On The Family and live in a hot-bed of right wing conservative assholes. “Do as I say, not as I do.” It’s bullshit I tell you. First off, as you will see from the letter to the editor to start, this bitch seems to have this idea that all, or most, women are evil and are the cause of all human problems. I find this sick and disgusting thinking and wish this bitch a slow and painful death.

I don’t get it, let’s blame some non-existant woman for all the evils of the world then a man saves us all. My ass. This is weird because I was thinking how ludicrous the whole idea of Adam and Eve is just earlier today. We humans definately are not cut from the same cloth and my God, to blame one single woman and the woman that follow for the “sins” of the world is outrageous.

Okay, I may be reading more into it than this woman is writing, but fucking A, this bitch needs to go back to 100 years ago where a womans worth was nill. I wouldn’t let this chap my hide except from this small article it proves to me that everything they preach and have out there against the gay lifestyle (whatever you want to call it) screams to me that their stance is more about hating homosexuals rather than loving people for their decisions and whatever is happening behind the scenes.

In turn, this article proves what hipocrites FOTF really is.

I am disgusted with the attitudes in this city. I want to leave this place as it stiffels the human love for life. So many in this city are quick to judge and don’t leave any room for us being human.

If I could afford it, I would move back to Denver which is close enough to my family but far enough from the bullshit that this town essentially represents, intolerance.

The way I heard it was it was Adam’s fault; he was the one “in charge” and so sinned by eating the fruit.

I never fail to be amazed at the lengths they’ll go in their attempts to make as many people as possible think only as they do, while consigning the rest of us to hell. Of course, it’s all been done before, and recently. If I remember right, Nazi Germany in the '30s did much the same on a larger scale. Only the philosophy was different.

I escaped the Orange curtain almost ten years ago. Northern California is much easier to live in than SoCal. In the terrible days of living in Dannemeyer’s district I was a hair-on-fire liberal feminist, but now, twenty miles south of San Francisco, I’m practically a moderate.

Way back when I was one of the few democrats in my hometown. Election day was always a hoot. It would take the poll ladies almost a minute to find my republican dad, whereas, finding mom and me in the little book o’democrats took about two seconds.

Save your pennies and move soon. The weather is nicer up here too.

It’s true, there’s Colorado Springs then there’s Boulder on the other side of the spectrum. How two so different cities can exist in such a short distance is amazing.

Denver or Grand Junction would be fine with me. You can be youself without feeling you are doing wrong.

It’s no wonder I sit on my ass all the time and about the only time I become social is when I head to Denver. The thing with the night life here is it’s either a bunch of snobs or sluts…niether of which I am.

I don’t get into going to a night club where you are judged by how long your dark roots are, how much makeup you have on and how tight your dress is. On the other hand I also refuse to go to the snob clubs and run into the assholes I went to high school with – makes me shudder even thinking about it. I can’t win in this place.

Funny, I live NEAR Boulder, and the whole time I found myself thinking how oppressive my town is in exactly the opposite way. For example there is a tree on Open Space land that people would hang paper angels on during the holidays, Boulder County got sued over it and had to go remove all the angels even though they didn’t put them there. While at the same time there is a big ‘ol statue of a pagan god on the Pearl Street Mall that nobody cares about. Go figure? Oh well I like Boulders’ flavor of tyranny better than Colorado Springs. I vote Grand Junction.

I have to agree with the theory that Boulder and Colorado Springs are so apart from each other that they come back around to the same place. Both places have absolutely no tolerance for anybody who thinks different from them, and think they’re the most important place in the world. Stick with Denver, we’re sane and fun.
