I hate when I do that in the MMP! - old

Well, I had promised to keep up with the MMP, but of course I have fallen hopelessly behind. You all are a busy bunch!

FCM, sorry about your BIL troubles. Somehow I’d been under the impression that you had just one BIL, who had both physical and emotional issues. (I guess reading for comprehension isn’t my thing.) I can’t imagine how overwhelming it must be for FCD two have two brothers going through these crises at the same time. Hang in there, and I hope everything calms down soon one way or another.

Oopsie, we have a very old set of kitchen knives. Mrs W often complains about how dull they are, and says we should throw them out and buy new ones. I suggested we just sharpen them, but she says that’s too much trouble. One of these days I’ll buy a sharpener and just do it.

Shoe, our cat Zoe sploots upside-down. It’s hilarious.

Here in Middle-of-Nowhere Arkansas, I have the luxury of two days off (usually we work on Saturdays, but this particular facility doesn’t allow it). Slept in and haven’t done much today. In a couple hours I’m going to take a 3-mile walk to the only decent-looking bar & grill in town, and then probably Uber back to the hotel whenever I get my fill of it. Even if it turns out to be underwhelming, I need the steps. Lots of standing in one place on this job.

In our first week (of the scheduled three), the team has completed well over half of the contracted work. So we might go home early. Or they might find something else for us to do. Or they could sent one or more of us to a different project elsewhere for the final week. I wouldn’t hate getting out of here, but I also want to get paid. So I’m kind of hoping for the third option. We shall see.

pilot I don’t know about you, but my beard has mostly turned gray. And I’m only 50…what year is this? 52.

FCM Hope the trip is uneventful.

wheelz Sorry are you vroom? I get confizzled as to everyone’s nicknames. Anyway, cute kitty pic. And you are right, sharpen the knives, or at least hit them with a steel.

shoe Clutching ma pearls.

Now the question as to do I make soup today or tomorrow? Beef barley is the plan.

As do I.
I have been dubbed wheelie by the MMP powers that be. Pretty sure vroom is @carnut, but I could be wrong.

Got on the ship around 1130. Can’t get into our room until at least 1500. So I have to lug my bags around until then.

WiFi is hella expensive.

The hair on my head started turning gray when I was 29. By 35 it was all gray with blond highlights. It’s still that color today at 65yo; the only difference is lots more forehead skin showing.

My beard went gray at the same rate as my head, but doesn’t even have the blond highlights and never did. I was ~33 the first chance I had to grow a beard. It was solid gray. Still is now 32 years later. Sigh.

Alaska cruise? You might do just as well to use wifi at cafes in port.

Howdy Y’all! The Priest interview went well. We discussed afterwards and have decided to recommend to the Vestry that he be hired. At that point it is the job of the Vestry to negotiate salary etc. and to notify the Bishop whether or not he is selected. The Diocese then extends the official offer to the Priest. A muchly weird process but that’s how we Whiskypalians roll. I got back to da cave, chowed down (I was hongry!) and then achieved nappage. Then a very tasty gin ‘n tonic was enjoyed whilst sittin’ on the back porch. Scurvy and malaria are now at bay.

Oopsie the centerpiece is tres chic!

shoe glad GC called to entertain last night.

My beard was black when I first grew it. Now it’s gray as is the hair on my haid. The hair is thinnin’ a bit, but I still have hair, unlike my bald brothers.

swampy, my dad had a high forehead that got higher as he aged, and he ended up with the usual male pattern baldness. But he had a saying about that. He said…

All men are given an equal number of hormones. If you choose to use yours growing hair, that’s your business.

She plays trumpet, and her little brother plays French horn. We’re a musical bunch. I have, between grands and step-grands, 12 grandkids, one step-great-grandson and another step-great grandsomething on the way.

The visit with the kids was good. It’s always great to have them all in one group. Goofiness ensues. Didn’t make it to the marching band exhibition, though, as I didn’t want to be asleep at the wheel. Two hours with them and two 45 minute drives later, I’m exhausted.

It’s the only make up I wear on a regular basis.

If you make it today, tomorrow’s leftovers will be even better.

Cool Lego centerpiece oopsie.

Zoe is a pretty girl wheelie. Reminds me a bit of my old cat Domino.

Messed around in the studio some today, then took Nelson to the dog park. His mini-Aussie buddy Remi was there, as well as a newer girl, Lola. She’s a 10 month old shi tzu - bichon mix with a puppy’s exuberance and energy. She played well with the boys, so everybody got a good workout. Speaking of dog parks, has anyone heard from sari lately?

All of your post is very good advice, I’m fairly sure my real problem is that I haven’t practiced enough. I roll them out into lopsided circles and then try to recover by taking some from here and sticking it over there. I think I’ll make a batch of dough for the express purpose learning how to roll decent circles.

I was pretty disappointed in the Cookie Contest results. I won first place and the kids won second. The boys didn’t seem upset, they were super proud to have come in second in their very first cookie contest and were happily showing off their five dollar bills. (They won 10 bucks and split it.) I did beat a professional baker, but she specializes in breads so I’m not going to brag that much about it.

The parade was fun and we ate Indian Fry Bread for lunch. I bought some new pot holders and some goat milk soap and hubs bought a long rooster tail feather onna stick for GG. He can do some amazing standing leaps after feathers, his back feets easily clear 4 feet straight up without really trying. He’d probably go higher if I was taller.

Someone had made little train cars out of water barrels and spent an hour or so pulling 4 of them (filled with kids) around with her riding mower. I’m mad that I didn’t get pics, it was pretty cute.

Weren’t you just talking about installing lever door handles?

That is really cool and it looks very nice on your table.

I’m guessing you know me well enough by now to know that I didn’t just put Draco back on the bed once…

W00T!!!

GO CORNHUSKERS!!! I hope you enjoy your game

I hope she doesn’t have a ticklish belly because I wouldn’t be able to resist that temptation.

This is some very good advice!

I was thinking about her last night, I hope she isn’t having connection issues at her new place.

That’s funny, since her shelter name was Domino. I guess that’s not too uncommon for a black and white cat.

Oh, we mess with her all the time. It’s impossible not to.
I have tons of pictures of her in weird positions:

I suppose I should show some love to her sister Chloe too, who is also very cute but slightly less entertaining.

(There’s never a bad time to post kitty pictures, right?)

It happens with chapstick or lip balm. The waxy oil thing is a bear to fix.

Thank you! I did~Cornhuskers :football: won, so 4-3, best mid season in a looooonnggg while. Our defense is quietly relentless. Nine sacks. A bowl bid this year would be be delicious.

Since I had a big tv/streaming and an apt to myself, I stayed and am watching our women’s :volleyball: volleyball. We are #2 in the nation, playing #1 Wisconsin at home, a mile from my house. I used to take a client who had legacy season tickets on the net to the VB games so I can imagine the atmosphere. Every bit as intense and rabid as the football stadium but louder because all that noise is trapped indoors. Amazing athletes all.

Zoe looks like she wants tummy rubs. Both girls look very cuddleable.

I treat lipstick stains like any other grease stain. First line of defense is pretreat with laundry soap and wash in hot with Oxyclean added. If that doesn’t work, I still keep some Lestoil on hand. I learned about this back when I worked at the meat plant. If I worked the fryer room, I generally had greasy clothes.

Chloe is a pretty girl too wheelie.

NEVER!

Chloe looks very smooshy

I’m so glad you are enjoying yourself, have any of the kitties offered themselves up for cuddles yet?

I have a serious problem now. Hubs very kindly installed a copy of M.U.L.E. on my comp. It was a time suck back when it was new and its even more addictive now.

Napprd, having a Sazarc with Asian BBQ stirfry, and watching hockey.

Indeed it does.

Well I’m above all the drama(literally and figuratively), so I was relaying what the sup said. But she wasn’t unzipping bags when she got assigned to that, wasn’t clearing the rollers of resorts, and was being snippy to the sup when she was wandering instead of doing her job.

Sup and Panamanian Vince have started to referring to Shaggy as “Zombie” Which is is insulting to the undead, as they can at least be motivated to do something.

Never.

(Spot, glaring his disappointment at the quality of the food, and lack of Mai Tais)

Love the cat pics. I’ve been missing my Morty so much lately. I’m looking to move to a new place soon, once I do, I may consider a little feline brother for Bob.

I’ve had two different sightings of one of them. Gooshy food was eaten and toys I brought relocated while I was out grabbing dinner (two McDs happy meals cause grandkidlets want the iconic buckets-I drink milk with them and eat the apple slices, so not irredeemable).

They are very very shy rescued ferals so two sightings of the most shy one is a good day. I’ll be back in the morning to dish out some more goody fud.

Hey, shoe Michigan whomped Michigan State 49-0, now I don’t feel so bad at our 45-7 drubbing by them.
