I Have A Fever A Cowbell MMP

Front yard has been mowed. Back yard to be done later.
Fish and fries for breakfast, my last bagel was moldy.

On to doing laundry, unless I want to be naked when I take the cat to the vet tomorrow.

Reporting for blurfage

Thank goodness!

I’m hoping to mow the back at least when I get home. I don’t know how much gas we’ve got - I think all the cans are empty. I should send **FCD **to the WaWa while I’m mowing… Then tomorrow I can do the front. Notice I’m avoiding the ditch…

Lunch break. I should walk outside and breathe some fresh air. Except with all the tree sex going on, I don’t know how fresh it’ll be! When does pollen season end?

I went out for a new gas cap for Polly Subaru and came back with jumper cables. :dubious:

The quest for Nature’s Miracle ended successfully, even it it did turn out being a true God’s Waiting Room Shopping Experience: there was a little old lady in front of me arguing with the cashier over whether or not her coupons were valid. Then she wanted to have a conversation with him about the barn cats in her yard. :smack:

But now I’m back and all the smelly carpet spots have been deodorized so I can go back to working on my gay elf story for a while.

I find magnolias to be downright shameless. All those open petals on display and everything. Someone ought to make a law!

My magnolias are being shy so far this year.

I want a crabapple tree. I saw a bunch blooming this weekend - they’re so pretty! Of course, I’ll probably be dead before they get that big and beautiful. Stoopit slow-growing trees…

I’m done with apple trees after having to deal with my dad’s Roma tree. It was the yellow jacket hangout every fall. Granted, they were drunk off rotting fruit but there were still way to many of the little bastards in one place.

My mower is electric. Then again, my yard is tiny. I think the front takes all of 10 minutes to do.

I had a crabapple tree when I lived in the city, and an apple tree. They are pretty when they bloom, but the crabapples go everywhere when they fall, and roll when you step on them. One of my dogs ate the apples off the apple tree, but none of them would eat the crabapples.
My Yasmine, aka Spazzie Yazzie, aka Hippie Dog, loved apples. As soon as one would fall she’d be right there to get it. The other dogs caught her eating them, so they tried them too, then gave her a look that said, "Are you crazy?’.

You can have my Quanzen (sp?) cherry tree. It’s like the damned Borg, assimilating my back yahd. Looks pretty for about 2 weeks, then spends the rest of the summer trying to knock the hat off my head whenever I mow around it.

**BBBobbio **- I doubt that your landlord would appreciate you giving away the landscaping.

My dogwood in the back yard is a challenge when I mow as are most of the small trees on the front hill. I think I’ve finally cut enough of the lower magnolia branches to prevent being attacked. This weekend’s big chore will be taking loppers and/or a chain saw to the stuff growing outside our fence. When I mowed last weekend, I ended up bloodied from stickers that reached out and touched me painfully! We’re gonna hack 'em all off on Saturday and take them to be mulched!

Drawings are done. Now I have to edit the drawing tree, then ask the boss for more work. Based on something I overheard, I think he and my former office mate are now engaged. I wonder if that means she’ll have to be transferred to another office? We shall see…

Well, I’m all out of work and I can’t find the boss. Good times…

Howdy Y’all! Day one of the irk week has been survived and The Dope is still up. YAY! Spent the mornin’ in what I now call the northeast forty and then was in the orifice for a while. Not too bad for a Moanday.

Dindin shall be grilled ham steaks, scalloped N.O.T. from a box (don’t judge!), peas 'n carrots and crescent rolls. Easy and tasty just the way I like my men.

Home! Boss showed up about 10 minutes after I posted, so I have work for tomorrow. I stopped at the post office on the way home to mail a buttload of paperwork to OPM - here’s hoping it gets me my money!!! And it just so happens that there’s an ice cream place right next door, and it called me. I had to get a Moose Tracks cone.

Once I got home, I changed into grubbies and mowed the back yard. We don’t have any more gas in the cans and I didn’t know if there was enough in the mower to do the front also, so I opted not to try. I’ll ask **FCD **to take the gas cans with him to work and fill them on the way home. Or send him out tonight. Either way.

He’s not home yet, poor baby. I’m guessing he’s not going to want supper. If he does, I can throw something together pretty quick. Higgs is bugging to be fed, but she’s still got FIVE MINUTES! Feeding her early is a slippery slope, I tells ya!!

Tell me about slippery slopes. Sah-dog has decided all he is going to eat from now on are treats. For now I’m indulging him but it won’t last forever.

Dinner for me is a can of chunky beef with vegetables soup with rice mixed in, minute rice at that.

Clothes are in the dryer, dog bed is in the washer.

Dindin has been prepared and ingested. I did good. It looks like we’ll be gettin’ a storm soon. Fine by me cause I ain’t goin’ anywhere this evenin’.

Sari does Sah-dog think it’s the end of the world because his bed is in the washer?

Pretty much, his world is topsy-turvy without his bed. His other beds are poor substitutes. However, he keeps peeing on it, so back in the washer it goes. I’d throw it away but I know he would go crazy without it. I’m getting damn tired of washing it though.

But he’s old, and his time with us is limited, so I should spoil him.

Ugh, this week is going to be fun.

The cat goes to the vet tomorrow, Sah-son has two finals due on Thorsday, one of which he will take on Wednesday, another final due on Friday, and the last one due on Sunday. Somewhere in there we need to get groceries.

It would be great if he would take all the finals on the same day but I know he won’t.

We’ve had a couple of nice rains but no tstorms as predicted so far. However, it is sooooooooooooooo nice out right now!

Sari I know somewhat how Sah-dog feels. I lurve my big ol’ terrycloth robe. When I have to wash and dry it, I am somewhat anxious until its done even if I have no plans to wear my robe. I just like knowin’ it’s there.

Happy Monday!

I was just now able to log on for the first time since early last evening.

The Nature’s Miracle took most of the “evidence” away, but there was a very slight odor remaining this afternoon, so I sprayed it down again when I got home.
