Actually, I think doing a children’s album would rock! I could be like Judy Collins or Peter Paul and Mary and sing folk songs all day while strumming a guitar. That’s the life for me…
…too bad I don’t think that there are many openings for children’s singers out there nowadays…

the microphone on my laptop alway gets me into trouble when I close the lid and it’s still powered up…terrible feedback. scares the hell out of me every time.

Thanks, thinksnow. I’d also like to thank all you others for your compliments. Many times I go through life thinking that my voice sucks. I guess it’s just good to be proved wrong sometimes. 
My boyfriend’s mother loved the song so much that she wants me to make a cd singing Christmas songs! :eek:
I’d like to try it, but first I need some basic Christmas song requests…and I’d like to run them through with you guys first if you don’t mind.
Does anyone know how to get rid of those hard “p” and “h” sounds when talking and/or singing into the mike? That’s the only thing that bugs me when I record. It just ruins the whole song.
Isn’t that what those little foam things on the end of microphones are for? To block wind and sharp exhilations?

I don’t have a foam thing. 
My microphone is very tiny, more like a computer one than one that one would use on a stage. I had tried putting my hand in front of it before, and then singing, keeping the “foam thing” in mind, but it didn’t work, since apparently my hand isn’t made of foam.
How about “Silent Night?” I’d really love to sing “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” (my very favorite)
