I have gone bush.....

I’ve had an horrendous year with one thing and another, mainly kids and their ‘stuff’ but also involving health and employment issues with The Bloke. Me? I’m just fine thankyewverymuch.

But to cut a long story short, I’ve had my dream answered with a semi-relocation to a little cottage in the bush!

Corowa, for those of you in the know. A rent-free cottage in return for two days on the farm per week. It 's about a 200m walk to the river, but the ‘flats’ are filling up nicely with all the rain we’ve had over the past month or so.

I’m going to continue to work here in Melbourne for 3.5 days a week, and spend the rest up in the bush, away from the turmoil and travails of the rest of the mob and I will enjoy it very much.

So there.

Hey hey! Welcome back! Sent you an email to check out things and have really missed you on the boards! Glad the sea change has come about and hope that every other thing in your life starts to get back to an even keel!

I wish you happiness and contentment in the bush.

I was wondering where you’d gone! Enjoy your bush retreat, and I hope things get better for you soon.

I thought this thread would be about something else entirely…

…I wonder how many non-Aussies thought the same thing?

I totally did. I was all ready for a “you go girl! Don’t conform!”

Same here (“okay, whatever cheeses your cracker”).

Enjoy the great outdoors! And kill a lot of mosquitoes for me.

I thought this was going to be a thread extolling the virtues of the current US president, so glad to be proven wrong. Good luck in the verdant wilderness kambuckta!

Corowa’s not a bad little town.

I hope you enjoy it kambuckta.
