I had a late dinner and am drinking a can of Coke. To the best of my knowledge, the cat had nothing but his usual food and water late-night snack. Somehow, we both got the hiccups, and have now been sitting here for the last several minutes, alternating hics - with (so far) two simul-hics that have made me laugh so hard I’ve failed utterly at breath-holding and deep breathing.

Cat gawps - “Are you teasing me?? I can’t help it, you know!”
Then, he poops on floor under the bed where you’ll smell it but not find it.
My kitty used to get hiccups all the time when he was still being bottle-fed. We’d laugh so hard at him and then rub his back, and he’d just look so disgruntled and disgusted with us because we couldn’t fix it.
