Okay guys, It’s time to admit that I have never viewed any kind of porno film! I have to admit that I’m curious and think it’s time that I see what all the fuss is about! I need reccomendations on preferably soft core stuff (don’t want to learn too much too quick!) ALso, how do you order them discreetly? Where do you order them? Remember I’m a beginner. Baby steps, guys!
Slide into your favorite adult store and buy a couple. If that’s too racy for you, try ordering from the back of a porno mag. Most will do the whole plain brown wrapper thing, but then again, if you’re getting a package wrapped in plain brown wrapping paper, the mailman might figure it out.
Really never seen a porno? I have no clue where to get soft core stuff unless you can get access to Playboy channel. That’s usualy soft core.
There’s also the internet, of course. I’m not going to link any because I think it’s against board policy, though. And, um, I don’t know anything about porn…yeah, that’s the ticket…
Anyway, shop around a bit. Once you find a good place, stick with it. Good service is pretty difficult to find these days and it’s easy to get, um, screwed, online.
A lot of mom and pop video stores, plus some of the smaller chains, have them available for rental. 'Course, they tend to be a bit pricier than the regular movies.
Personally, Fluffy, I don’t think you’ve missed anything. Watch movies of other people fucking? What the hell for?
My XBF would periodically nag me into watching a porno with him, even though he knew I found them not only unerotic, but unappetizing. I was completely grossed out by cum shots, and generally turned off by the whole porno experience.
Take my advice. Save your money. For the price of a few videos, you can treat your true love to a romantic dinner, then go home and break out the massage oil…
if you are a young lady over 18, come on over and we’ll just whip one up on the spot for ya, no charge!
She was somebodys mother, but not mine, so it was okay!
I’m sorry, I don’t believe the OP at all.
I mean, think about it. You’ve got a poster with the name of Fluffer, and…
What?
Oh. Nevermind.
Cinemax used to show a lot of what I think of as “softcore” porn–I only watched a couple times, though, because it was boring–looked like hardcore with the “good stuff” badly edited out. I don’t get Cinemax anymore so I don’t know if they still do this.
There’s places to find all kinds of movies that cater to just about anything you could possibly want to see online for free . . .
There’s also places to order it online that are pretty easy to find if you’re too embarrassed to just walk into your friendly neighborhood smut shop. I don’t know how reliable the online places are, though.
Fluffy the video store at Action Corner (Wilbraham and Rte 4 across from Perkins) used to have a pretty good selection.
At least that’s what I heard.
My advice is to start with a catalog/web site like Good Vibrations - this is a store in San Francisco (I won’t post the URL, but I bet you could figure it out). They sell all sorts of things, including porn videos - the difference here is that the staff reviews everything they offer. and they are pretty particular (I think) about what videos they sell. I would tend to believe that if they offer a certain video, chances are it’s pretty good. You certainly can’t say that about ALL porn videos and let’s face it: A bad porn video can make you not want to ever watch another!
Good Vibrations (the orginal store) was (I think) started by a woman and their web site and printed catalog are very straightforward, healthy, non-sleazy and matter-of-fact. (Gee, how many more adjectives could I include?)
Oh, and there is a web site where you can rent this stuff -it’s a legitimate web site and it works a bit like netflix. You rent the DVD’s, they send 'em to you and you must send them back by a certain date. You could peruse the Good Vibrations catalog, choose a title, and then see if the other place carries it. And all without having to walk into any store in person!
Cricket
(who, of course, is not the same as the orignal Kricket who is kind enough not to complain about the similarity of our user names!)
The one piece of advice I would would give is that you have to be careful about what you are renting 'cause it seems that every single porno movie/vid/dvd out there these days has at least 2 “scenes” with anal sex, which is something I don’t need, nor do I want to see.
Drastic- The name is Fluffy dammit!!
The Mermaid-I go into Action Corner sometimes and noticed that they had an adult section. I just can’t seem to make myself go over and look! There’s always some dude over there browsing!
gatopescado- Okay! I’ll be right over!
ROCKIN!
There is nothing “secret” or “special” about 1,000 island dressing.
There’s a web site called Video Nation that sells them. They may rent, as well.
I recommend Andrew Blake videos, if you don’t want too hardcore. They’re often descibed as “Hard R” rather than XXX, and the actors are all gorgeous. Also his movies are shot on film, with good sets and lighting and all. The one thing is that there’s generally no plot. I don’t mean a bad plot, just no plot whatsoever. I liked Captured Beauty, but you might not like the D/S theme. Oh, and there are hardly any men in his films, which I thought was a plus, but may not be what you’re looking for. Okay, so never mind my advice.
Can we switch places, Fluffy? I have so much porn it’s not funny. When my parents helped move, guess which of the boxes was the most heavily-secured with packing tape?
They know I’m gay, but seriously, just imagine the bottom of the box giving out and my entire gay porn collection just spilling out onto the street.

In my experience, … uh, I mean my friend’s experience, that is, video store porno is really hard-core (read “gross-out city”). I don’t know where to get soft-core, other than cable TV.
Scott Evil- you made me spit coffee all over my keyboard!
