Me, I’m not worried about shutting out the armpits’ sweat glands; mine prove themselves to work just fine when I don’t use antiperspirant. Plus in high heat, your body will demonstrate just how many it does have all over the place - my coworker went to one of those “hot” yoga sessions where the room temp is over 100, and mentioned being unable to hold onto her knee because her legs were completely slick with sweat.
Sniff, sniff Hmmm, smells like someone forgot to put on their anit-overreactant today.
In a discussion of deodorants, I have no way of knowing that you’re talking about antiperspirants. Many people don’t know that there is a difference. My point was that if you’re worried about the effects of antiperspirant, you can still get a deodorant if you’re worried about stink.
Many people on this board don’t know what they’re talking about. There’s nothing wrong with that, and I, for one, appreciate being corrected when I’m wrong.
Nope, never found a need for it. Not a very hairy/sweaty guy on a day to day basis.
I do funk up a bit if I don’t shower after working up a sweat doing physical activity, but I suppose that’s par for the course.
Yep, I figure that’s all part of being human. It’ll be corrected in the next version, of course.
I once saw someone ranting on people who don’t wear deodorant to the gym which I wear, if I’ve already got it on, but I won’t put it on if I am just waking up and going. I figure if I’m a bit ripe at the gym, it’s par for the course. Plus I shower a lot, so I figure I’m not going to be TOO offensive.
My sweat sometimes smells like herbs (oregano?). I have no idea why.
Yep, you can usually tell which people don’t use deodorant. But we normally don’t say anything to them because we’re too polite.
I once had the misfortune of flying to Amsterdam from Chicago, next to a Dutch native, that apparently didn’t think he needed to use deodarant either.
At least one of you rode the same subway car as I did this morning.
My husband never does and he never stinks of BO. Stinky breath sometimes but not body odor.
I never wear it. It gives me a rash. As long as I’m reasonably well showered, I don’t have any odor problems (my wife would tell me).
I think that a lot of people have an exaggerated perception of how important underarm deodorants are. Credit Madison Avenue.
I only started using after one day someone said I smelt. Turned out I just needed to change my socks.
I never wear it. Even when I’m moderately sweaty from exercise or heat, my husband says I don’t smell.
