Tell me what to bake.
I have a very large amount of both. I got 2 of the large jars of Nutella and a huge bag of mini marshmallows (I went to BJ’s today). If I don’t bake something, I am going to eat it all straight from the jar/bag.

While I fail to comprehend why you would want to interfere with the perfection you already have, my brain made you a dessert consisting of a hot dog bun with a split banana inside, slathered with nutella and topped with marshmallows, all broiled for a minute or so.
Yeah, sounds like a 6 year old’s fantasy to me, too, but that’s what I came up with. >.<
Actually, it’s not so much that I want to interfere with perfection. It’s more that I’m thinking of baking something for Christmas and Christmas is the only reason I can think of to share my Nutella with anyone else.
And that sounds insanely good. I might have to get some bananas and hot dog buns.
I had a nutella milkshake in Vegas. It. Was. Amazing.
What came to mind for me was S’mores! Graham crackers and chocolate and marshmallows, yum! Or maybe a S’mores pie, with a graham cracker crust. I don’t know how nutella bakes up though - oh! A refrigerated pie, with the marshmallows briefly broiled.
Oh my, that milkshake. I so need to get some chocolate ice cream.
I wonder if marshmallows would bake well in cupcakes.
Thinking about cupcakes with marshmallows in the mix, then nutella as frosting.
That might be kind of rich, but nutella as just a PART of a frosting sounds too close to sacrilege.
Oh my goodness…if you could somehow make hot chocolate with nutella and then top it with the marshmallows, I think you would have ever caroller on the continent stopping at your place.
Don’t forget the peanut butter.
Ok, I’ve made this recipe three times this season already, and a copy was sitting right in front of me, so here goes. I used the red and green marshmallows, but any mini ones will do.
Chocolate-Hazelnut Marshmallow Bars
1 10oz bag mini marshmallows
1 cup hazelnuts, toasted and coarsely chopped (or peanuts, or any kind of nuts, or none at all)
2 1/2 c semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c Nutella
1/2 c whipping cream
1/4 c butter, softened
Line a 9x13 pan with foil.
In a large bowl, mix the marshmallows and the nuts, set aside.
In a medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips, Nutella, whipping cream and butter, heat and stir over medium heat until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.
Pour chocolate mixture over the marshmallow mixture and stir to coat well. Spoon mixture evenly into prepared pan, pressing down lightly.
ZCover and chill for 30 minutes ( I freeze it at this point)
To serve, remove from pan by lifting foil. Place on cutting board and cut into slices across the width, then cut into smaller pieces. Makes a lot. Or cut into 18 bars, cut each in half on the diagonal, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
I love this because it’s gluten free for my niece, and the colored marshmallows make it look like stained glass windows…and it keeps well in the freezer.
To store, layer bars between waxed paper in an airtight container, cover. Store in fridge 3 day or up to 3 months in the freezer. Keep chilled until ready to serve…bars soften at room temperature.
Spread the nutella on crackers. Chuck the marshmallows.
Take a sheet of frozen puff pastry, thaw and roll out per directions. Cut into 6 inch squares. On one side of the square, dollop some nutella, stick a few mini marshmallows [and maybe some slivered almonds, and a sprinkle of cinnamon] fold in half, sealing the edges with a smear of egg white, then glaze the top with a brush of egg white and bake per directions.
Take some premade pie crust and do the same if you do not feel like using puff pastry.
Take the large size refrigerator biscuits, sort of work the dough to flatten and make larger diameter the dough disc, do the same for the dough above, top with another dough round and either fry in a couple inches oil or bake. Dust with powdered sugar, or ultrafine/castor sugar mixed with cinnamon.
eat off the spoon and pop marshmallows as a chaser?
I know you are looking to bake something, but all I would do is get graham crackers, melt the marshmallows, and make some smores.
I’ve made many a smore with fluff and nutella and graham crackers.
I love me some Nutella! I’m going to have to try that shake.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone, keep 'em coming!
I haven’t tried anything yet because I seem to be missing 1 key ingredient from each idea. That milkshake though had hot chocolate (well, hot nutella) under it. If you try it, unless you’re certain about the quality of your fillings, make sure you follow the directions. It seemed kind of weak to me so I added more Nutella. I had a toothache for over an hour.
