I have pie!

Well, no.
It’s not a “freedom” thing, it’s a “capability” thing.

I can’t bake. My Mom bakes really well.

See?

Sorry, it’s mandatory whenever PIE is mentioned.

FairyChatMom, was your lemon meringue pie an icebox lemon meringue pie? Made with Dime Brand condensed milk? Did you make your crust from scratch? Do you use your left over crust to make sweet rolls? How far is Orange Park from Seminole?

Southern joke: Hold up a finger with a ring on it. Ask, “How is my finger like a pie?” Answer, “Cause its got mah rang on it.” Hearty laughter ensues.

I believe they’re in the recipe thread we had some time back, tho I’m not going to search for it. However, I’ll e-mail them to you when I get home (I just got to the office) - just hang tight for a few more hours!!

And Exgineer, you can point and snicker all you want, but the fact is, I could have pumpkin pie tonight if I want it, so neener neener neener! :stuck_out_tongue:

-sniffles- I want pie… I haven’t had pie since I moved out of Grandma’s… well I went back and got a couple of saskatoon tarts (made when she made pie and had enough left over for about 6 tarts) mmmm Saskatoon Pie…

My lemon meringue pie recipe came off the back of a bag of lemons - I’ve been using it for years. No condensed milk, and I cheated on the crust - I used one of those frozen, folded ones. I know how to make crusts, I just don’t like to. Ergo, no leftover crust.

Which Seminole?? Mapquest shows one near St. Pete and one near Ft. Waltom Beach… Orange Park is just south of Jacksonville.

FairyChatMom, my Seminole is the one near St. Pete. You might some day try the Dime Brand condensed milk recipe–it makes a lovely pie.

Because I am invited to a lovely and wonderful Down Home Southern Rosh Hashanah dinner tonight, I currently have crust chilling for three kinds of pies, pumpkin, sweet potato and honey-cinnamon apple. I’m making two of each. My friends and I will eat pie and wish each other a sweet new year.

I make a heckuva pie. I’d share with you all, but you know, I don’t know if I like you enough.

Oh, and I use my extra dough to make cinnamon twisties. Perfect for breakfast the second day. Ahh, twisties.

I love sweet potato, please send recipe for sweet potato pie.

PLEASE!!!
