I saw the trailer on TV tonight and my first thought was “man, that’s gonna suck”. It looks like just an excuse to put Halle into a slinky suit and have her crawl around on all fours and try to look sexy.

Well, for those of us who don’t swing that way a little plot would be nice.
And I say “try to look sexy” because some of the “cat walking” she was doing just looked silly.
A five minute trailer with Halle Berry slinking around in sexy clothes is one thing.
A two hour movie of Halle Berry slinking around in sexy clothes is quite another.
My attention span just ain’t that good. A two hour movie is going to need more than just Halle Berry in slinky clothes. Hell, Halle Berry stark naked beating up George W. Bush couldn’t hold my attention for more than … oh… I dunno, thirty minutes, maybe…
I must say, the costume in the trailer doesn’t look nearly as bad as it did in the promotional shots released many months ago. That’s rather damning with faint praise, but there you go.
As a general rule, Halle Berry is sexy, Catwoman is sexy, and depending on who’s wearing it, outfits like that can be sexy. But the combination of Halle Berry in that outfit just doesn’t seem to work.
On yet the other hand, of course, LOOK AT THOSE GAZONGAS!

Yech. This will be the first comic book movie I won’t see and probably the begining of the end of the current comic book movie craze.
Catwoman is totally uninteresting when she’s not helping Batman out.
Halle Berry is (don’t bother reprimanding me for saying this; I know I’m in the minority but it’s my opinion and I’m entitled to it!) a horrible actor and borderline ugly.

Dumb movies and Ashley Judd attract each other like magnets. I’m surprised she didn’t wind up in the role.
It’s that hat. Helmet. Cowl. Thing that’s pre-ruined the movie for me.
Good god, how could that possibly have looked good to anyone?
I mean, I could maybe see it working—maybe—if it was attached to a full costume, like the current catwoman costume in the comics. And even THEN, it’d need lenses to work.
But now…it looks about 8% better than a Mexican wrestler’s mask. And that’s mostly because it’s a pretty woman wearing it. (The ears just make it worse.)

Well, think of it about the realization that they’ll be going so far off-canon/continuity that they might as well say it’s someone else.
have not seen the trailer… can’t do streaming video at work. but the still photos on the site are… umm… bad. It must’ve taken a lot of sleepless nights to contrive a tight, slinky, low-cut outfit that would make HALLE BERRY look bad… but they did it! The headgear is really, really bad.
