You’re quite right. Server it is. I didn’t get to play any last night, but I did check the server names this morning.
The human rogue is on Stormreaver because that is where my son is. He is there with his team mates and buddies from school. Her name is what I known by in IRLso the kids friends can find me so if you are on Stormreaver and want I’d rather share it on email. (Abby is derivative of my initials, not my name.) The gnome mage is on Crushridge. Her name is (brace yourself for it, it’s really creative) Imagnome.
I am at 13 or so with the Rogue, so I will probaly stick with it a bit longer. I am just now figuring out getting the trades and skills and getting started on them. She’s alchemy/herbalist, but she’s got cooking and tailoring skills too. It sounds like I need to look into first aid as well.
I really like the gnome, but not so much the mage part of it, so that may be the one I decide to delete and maybe try out something different. She’s only at about level 4 or 5 anyway and I could use the practice walking and learning my way around. Heh.
MixieArmadillo] I’m sorry I hijacked your thread. I was really excited to see a thread were folks here playing it and talking about it.
By the way, if you live in Europe and want to join the final beta, they’ve just opened up the registration for the final phase. Doesn’t cost anything, but you’d better hurry, because the first phase of the beta got signed up pretty quickly.
No no no! Please, hijack away. Most of the intent of the thread was to get people talking about it so that I could eavesdrop and learn something, so at least I wouldn’t be such a wretched newbie
All Mr. Armadillo’s friends keep asking when I’m going to join up with their guild sessions, which is really nice of them, except for the fact that they’re all level approximately 4672 and I’m… level 4.
If you’ve gotten the training and whatnot from the fisherperson, there should be an icon for it in your general skills tab of the spellbook. Just equip the fishing pole, click the icon after putting it on a toolbar, and you’ll start the fishing game. However, you’d need to start fishing in your starting city’s or newbie area’s water holes, as various locations have a skill prerequisite for fishing there.
P.S.- You can get some nightcrawlers from various vendors if you really wish. They require a minimum of 50? Fishing skill to use, but add a certain amount of skill levels to your fishing for a limited time.
Err, is it okay to bump that thread? I’d love to join an SDMB guild, but as I’m still a supernewbie I imagine I’d be more a hinderance than any sort of help.
Randomly, they mentioned a non-SDMB player that hooked up with them at one point, who I’m almost positive is one of Mr. Armadillo’s college roommates… small world.
There are a fair number of idiots and flamers, but you can get all sorts of interesting information there, but they are not always civil.
And anybody who wants to have a patient play partner to get up to speed in things, feel free to make an alliance character on Elune and look me up. I am in game a lot, and have no problem helping you learn how to play=)
Margali, Aruvqan, Kuscheliger, Eisfalk, Sonnenschein and Bestrafung
Probably your best bet would be to /tell one of the following: gorm, darkhold, redclaw, norolis, tor, oakroot, beechy (me), deathfinder, ubala, tamba, kalma, or seric…
Or join the /sdmb channel and talk. Nobody talks in there (it’s guildchat only) but I bet some people are still listening. I am.
Hrm, Mr. Armadillo says we’re on a server that sounds something like “asgolor”? I am setting up a new character soon though, maybe I can get her set up on Thunderhorn.
I once made rude remarks about Evercrack addicts, and mused sneeringly on Playstation freaks.
No more.
I was gifted with WOW four, five days ago now, and I’m sadly, irrevocably hooked. My family are now looking at me with worry, and my eldest son has pronounced me “hard-core”. Is “hard-core” a good thing or not?
I swear, this is what Gary Gygax et. al. were trying for when they designed D&D, they just didn’t have the tech.
Erm, does anyone know how to invoke the druid shapeshifting ability? I damn well paid for the training, but I can’t find the proper tab ANYWHERE. That’s the WHOLE POINT of playing a druid, for me anyways. (I am even a Big Fat Cheater, 'cause I bought the strategy guide, but it isn’t helping on this one…)
Jermailyn, 10th lvl night elf druid, Elune (Hi **Aruquvan **and AbbySthrnAccent)
Yeoli, 3rd lvl human warrior, Elune
Kehailan, 9th lvl night elf hunter, Cenarius
OK, your shapeshifting abilities should be on that upper spell bar, but they can be found in your spellbook. At level 10, did you do your quest for bearform yet? That and waterform are quests…http://wow.allakhazam.com/ is a great website for looking up quests and spells=)
Thanks much, aruvqan. I will be searching out these quests ASAP. I’ve been waiting an awfully long time to play a shapeshifting elf, WITHOUT the two-hour discussions between the DM and the Rules Mechanic every other turn.
