My friends and I play this game online for $5.00 dollars per game and lately they have gotten better. The problem is that I don’t “develop” my civilizations fast enough. Does anyone out there have any little known tricks or strategies for this game?
Is this the same Empire Earth once sold on CD for like $40? Ya start with stone age folks and work 'em up through like four or five stages to a ‘futuristic’ civilization, then beat each other up?
I had this. Got it when it first came out, never played online, didn’t enjoy it much… good concept, needed work.
I’m more than a little surprised that it costs $5 a game to play now. Most RTS offers free play, assuming of course you own the disk.
Let’s see… from what little I remember of this game… heck. I don’t remember anything, really…
In general, it’s all about resources. Grab as much as you can at the beginning… build more gatherers. Don’t worry too much about building your army until you’ve got a good income, but don’t completely neglect it either.
There were towers available, defensive structures… those help. A group of 'em in a strategic location to slow down your enemies. Every kill is money out of their pocket.
Likewise, every unit you lose is money out of yours, so if you attack, make sure it’s worth it.
I’ll have to dig this up and take another look, perhaps they’ve updated it since then.
