I keep seeing 11:11 on the clock-- spooooky

For the last few weeks it seems like I’ve been checking the clock and seeing 11:11 or 1:11 a lot.

Now, I’m not superstitious, and I understand the concept of confirmation bias, but just for fun I googled “what does it mean when you keep seeing 11:11 on the clock?” and got various stuff about the universe trying to get my attention or angels trying to let me know I’m at a spiritual crossroads or something. I also read something about making a wish, so just in case I’ve made the same wish every time I see that time. Hasn’t come true yet. Maybe I have to wait until next November 11? :dubious:

It sounds like it’s time to put a new battery in your clock. If it still doesn’t advance past 11:11, it’s time to buy a new clock.

Hey, you solved the mystery!

That is, if it was the same clock every time, and if it was an old-fashioned flippy-number style clock that could show the time with the battery dead

Well, I’m always checking the clock at a minute passed 10 to see if the little man is still there, watching me from inside the device:

[ |0:0| ]

I have that happen often enough to be noteworthy. Also, 12:34.

Right now, though it’s showing 10:50.

It’s 4:20 for me.

It’s 8:20 for JFK.

I used to have that with 22:22 when I was a kid. Double the fun .

Omg, I had that same thing years ago and googled it too. I was a little freaked out by it (if I’d checked the clock at 11:03 or something I would make SURE it HAD to have been more than 8 minutes before I looked at a clock again). I also googled it and found out I wasn’t the only person that got freaked out by it. I also realized I was sort of going down the OCD route and MADE myself get over it.

I have friends that still tell me, "Every time I see 11:11 on the clock, I think of you!)

Ooh! Now I’m going to start seeing that!

I see that if you are prone to confirmation bias it “means that you are aware of synchronicity. Your mind is open and aware. You are probably a very intuitive or spiritual minded person, or perhaps even a bit eccentric! Many individuals having 11:11 experiences may have always felt different from other people throughout their lives. In fact, many 11’ers are drawn to spirituality, nature, metaphysics and science.”

No surprises there.

I’m a Pisces.

My business partner mentioned one time, many years ago, that he sees 3:11. Now I have been seeing it since then too. I see it in more places than on clocks, too. Anywhere I see numbers.

I actually bet on 3 and 11 on roulette the one time I went to Vegas and ended up winning!

I remember an episode of the Leonard Nimoy-hosted “In Search of…” that focussed on Bishop Pike. His son died at 8:19 one day and for the rest of his life, reportedly, he had the tendency to become suddenly aware of time at that time. Spooky stuff.

It’s 3:33pm for me.

Rufus Wainwright woke up at 11:11.

How can you get 1:11 out of sync?

You’re holding it upside down.
