I looked away, and when I looked back, it was all gone

We had such great fun. There was lashings of pop, biscuits, cakes with smarties on top, party hats and silly names. All the rooms were called something different, and I was a mod, and had stuff oozing from my fingers. I did - really. But I got tired, and fell asleep, and when I woke, it was all back to normal. But, just now, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a couple of ballloons disappearing on the breeze. So I know it happened.

Many thanks to TPTB and everyone who joined in. It was very special, and an example of why, despite the ups and downs, this is the place to be.

We had such a good time…

Isn’t it amazing what little things can make your day?

Yes, it was fun, but now back to work.

Agreed, it was a small thing (although I appreciate the thoughts and work that must have gone into it) but it was a lovely surprise and gave me a warm glow all day. Thanks to all the PTB.

Brigadoon, Brigadoon,
Blooming under sable skies.
Brigadoon, Brigadoon,
There my heart forever lies.
Let the world grow cold around us,
Let the heavens cry above!
Brigadoon, Brigadoon,
In thy valley, there’ll be love!

There was a time when meadow, grove and stream,
The earth, and every common sight,
To me did seem
Apparelled in celestial light,
The glory and freshness of a dream.
It is not now as it hath been of yore;
Turn whereso’er I may,
By night or day,
The things which I have seen I now can see no more.

*Thus grew the tale of Wonderland:
Thus slowly, one by one,
Its quaint events were hammered out–
And now the tale is done,
And home we steer, a merry crew,
Beneath the setting sun.

Alice! a childish story take,
And with a gentle hand
Lay it where Childhood’s dreams are twined
In Memory’s mystic band,
Like pilgrim’s withered wreath of flowers
Plucked in a far-off land.

::: sigh ::::

Thank you. :slight_smile:
