I just wanted to mention that I almost always love to read elucidator’s posts. Even those of you who don’t agree with the guys politics have to admit he (I think he’s a he) has a way with words – his posts are so often succinct and funny, and he chooses words creatively without being obscure.
I know nothing of the guy in the real world, but, if he hasn’t published something already, I encourage him to try to get something of his published.
Yes, when there’s some splainin’ to be done, luci certainly can perform an admirable job. I find him engaging and readable too.
Me too! He’s one of my board crushes (so is lieu!). 'Luci’s posts usually always make me smile or think but once in a while they go right over my head so I just smile and nod and pretend I know what he’s talking about.

As loathe as I am to bump a laudatory thread, you dont seem to have a message capacity. I didn’t know till somebody just pm’d me. It might be gracious under such circumstances to offer some pretense of humility, but its late, and ya’ll know better anyway.
As to the prospect of writing for money, well, that would make it work, wouldn’t it? I hate work.

Why anybody would pump 'luci’s ego any larger than it already is is beyond me.
Personally, I find his “tighty-righties proceed shields up” disclaimers rather annoying and tedious. But he’s probably still over a 99% success rate with the witty retorts, and that’s just damn impressive.
Well, just a second there Water, I mean that one. I genuinely believe that its appropriate when directing someone to a link that you know is from a source in line with your own opinions, you ought to recognize it right up front. Its a kind of a formality.
My two top favorites are *Think Progress *and Talking Points Memo, who always and without fail include their source links embedded, and are very reliable, they have yet to embarass me.
And I want it to stand in stark contrast to the kinda goobers who lilnk to NewMax or The Corner with straight faces, like offering a legit news link. I offer it in a humorous voice, but my intent has some earnest to it. Not a whole lot, of course, I’m kinda uncomfortable with unsolicited sincerity.
Naturally, I hope by sterling example to coax others from the path of error. Its taking a lot longer than I thought…
Oh, I agree with the point, and wish that more people were as honest about their source material, it’s just the specific verbiage that grates on me. I don’t really know why. Just chalk it up as an odd pet peeve of mine, and go about your posting as you please. It’s pretty damn minor, but I figured I might as well mention it.
I mean, I’m sure at some point in his career, even Warren Zevon’s used a line that you’ve just always found noticeably subpar as compared to his usual standards.
Maybe “tighty righty” reminds you of a bad experience with your underpants?
I hate the word underpants. Also panties. I won’t even use Pantene shampoo.
I was going to say “underwear” but 9 out of 10 comedians agree “underpants” is funnier.
