I love Spam...

My dad made Spam salad sandwiches. Grind the Spam in a meat grinder, add Miracle Whip and sweet pickle relish, chill and serve on soft white bread. (Basically it’s ham salad, except you use Spam.) It’s actually very good. He’d have to coax people to try it, and when they did they liked it.

fish fingers VS. super nooddles! the breakfast of champions!

we used to have worst meal contests at my last place of work. pot noodle sandwiches, trying to fry turkey burgers in water because we’d run out of oil for the pan, butter and sugar on shredded wheat, with lemonade instead of milk on them (i’m allergic to milk) etc.

i thought i’d took it one weekend as i sat there on a lonely sunday, eating my 2 day old kebab and brown sauce, drinking Tizer from a wine glass, until my mate Wes told me the next day he hadn’t eaten anything, and drunk water out of a bowl because he couldnt be arsed doing the washing up.

i wont drink sunny delight or eat spam though, strangely, as they are the pinnacle of crap.

smiley etc

heh

I don’t like Miracle Whip generally, but that sounds DE-lish!
Easy Cheese (formerly know as Snack-Mate) is also very good! Cheeze-Whiz too. Pastuerized process cheese food product. Mmmmmm!
Hog Maw is like Haggis, I guess. Only good! Pig’s stomach stuffed with sausage, potatoes, cabbage, onions and carrots. Kind of a Pennsylvania Dutch thing.
snippets…

There’s some very fine canned chili out there, IMHO.

WTF are Bloody Vikings?
Black Knight, they should do one of those beer commercials about you!

Here’s to the man… [sup]He’s the man[/sup]
that makes the can…[sup]can man[/sup]
that holds the Spam… [sup]Spam can man[/sup]
helping to provide quick and delicious nutrition since WWI.
We salute you! Spam Can Man!!!

Genius!

(Although I just make the box that holds the can that holds the SPAM. But I know a guy who used to work at Hormel, and the husband of a coworker of my mother is responsible for putting that weird gel stuff around the sides of SPAM so that … well, I don’t really know what it’s for.)

Mmmmmm… Spam…Especially when sliced and lightly fried in a skillet. Makes a fabulous side with eggs. Also excellent on toasted white bread with a slice of American cheese (melted, of course) and mayo.

Have you tried turkey Spam? (We call it Spurkey.) It’s just like Spam, only…turkey.

I also confess to liking many pasteurized processed cheese products, at least in certain contexts.

Growing up on a very tight budget (big family), a favorite snack was Miracle Whip on Club crackers.

I consume hot dogs openly and without shame, no matter how much people mutter about pig lips. (Preferably Oscar Meyer, if that’s any faint hint of redemption.) In fact, I have one in my lunch box right now – it will be my morning snack.

Ramen noodles – they’re not just for breakfast anymore! (Yum!)

Not quite disgusting foods, but certainly things that certain people make slightly pained faces at.
(Reminds me of Robin Williams’ remark about someone - wasn’t it the Margaret Thatcher? – always looking as if someone were holding a small turd under her nose.)

We have a small can of Spam in our kitchen right now. I loathe the stuff (I don’t like salty foods in general), and Airman hasn’t gotten around to eating it.

At least he hasn’t suggested feeding it to Aaron. That would just be wrong.

That “really” weird gel stuff" is the best part!
Homer Simpson on hot dogs and a cleaned up convenience store roller-cooker thingy:
Yeah, but without the grease all you can taste is the hog anus! :stuck_out_tongue:
