I love the smell of ...

… vanilla in the morning. It smells like [thoughtful pause] French toast.

…fresh mown grass…<achooo>

…ear wax

Saw Dust

Leather

Stew that’s been cooking in the crock pot all day.

Turkey roasting on Thanksgiving.

My own farts.

The fresh odor after rain.

Second hand smoke.

Silver Swan soy sauce.

Fresh paper.

Ahhhh. New book smell.

Dusty car air conditioning (I’ve never found anyone who likes this smell)

1930’s/40’s car interior smell
New acoustic guitars
The inside of a barn after a rain
New shower curtains
Old book stores
Good Weed

Fresh road tar.

Awesome.

Popcorn

Fresh coffee

Garlic cooking. Especialy that which is stewing in a giant crok pot of red gravy.

I prefer old book smell. Oh, how I love the old, musty smell of an old book. It takes me back to the old days when you had to go to the library to get a book.

  • Bacon sizzling…it’s better than the actual bacon, I think.

Jiffy markers.
Grapefruit.
Tomato plants.
Leaded gasoline exhaust.
Mimeograph sheets.

Hot exhaust pipes, the woods after a rain and woodsmoke. Just not all at the same time.

Pumpkin pie in the oven. It’s good once it’s done, but as it is cooking, oh my. Dreamy.

New acoustic guitars that you’ve had for years, and that remind you when you first got it, and had dreams of being a guitar hero, and then realizing that you would never be one, but it still smells so great just the same.

New shower curtains, well that’s just lost on me.

The first hint of autumn. It came to Cincinnati a little early this year: I was outside this evening, and it was a little cool, and that autumn smell was already in the air. Ahhhh.
