I love this series, but...

There are least three more books in that series to write, minimum. More likely four. Get off your ass, Chris, and start writing!

I am one of the few who still enjoys Family Guy (I’m still college age, so it’s ok)

But recent shows are soooooo damn political it is annoying. Family Guy’s humor used to be smart. Yeah it was random, yeah the jokes had nothing to do with the plot, but it was smart.

Now it’s just one Anti-Bush joke after another, after another that it’s just one giant political statement.

Hitler with a “McCain/Palin” button…really?

Not going to war with a country (can’t remember which) because (as Brian looks into the camera) “I don’t know…maybe it’s cuz they have no oil!!!”

I miss their intelligence

I guess this is nonresponsive to the OP, but…

I saw most of the first season, because I thought it was an intriguing premise. Then it revealed itself as a bed-romp soap opera. Then came the Denny/Whatshername insta-romance. (I don’t know why I remember his name, I just hoped someone would give him a shave.) I don’t think I have seen it more than two or three times since. I don’t miss it, except for a morbid fascination about whether the bed-romping soap suds continue.

Apparently they do.

BTW, that guy who supposedly wrestled at Iowa? LMAO. That is the premiere squad in the country, and he is just not believable in that regard.

I love Andromeda, but . . .

The last two seasons sucked.

Superman writers often complain that it’s hard to write stories about Supes, because he is just too powerful, and it’s difficult to provide a villain that could seriously threaten him. Andromeda had the opposite problem. As the series progressed, the villains kept getting more and more inflated, while Dylan Hunt remained a frail mortal.

During the second-to-last season, the main villain was, for all practical purposes, Satan. So they started dropping hints that Hunt was going to become a messianic figure. But they never had the guts to commit to an overtly Christian theme, so they threw in a lot of pseudo-Buddhist psychobabble.

The last season was just horrible.

I will say the same, with all due respect and with considerable affection, to George R.R. Martin as he works on his Song of Fire and Ice series. It’s been, what, three years since the last book?

I feel the same way. In Season 1, they actually showed the kids from time to time. If I was Mosby Jr., I would never look at Aunt Robin the same again. Also, I would be asking questions like “Was Cousin James born yet?” or “Why didn’t you just use the <insert name of future gizmo>?”

I liked Murphy Brown a lot, but the Baby Boomer self-congratulation and gratuitous swipes at Gen-X were way out of line. Especially since the Boomers carry so much resentment towards the generation before theirs, for not understanding them, trying to suppress them, condemning them…and then they do the very same thing to the succeeding generation. MB just illustrated the whole thing, really.

GOD, I loved that show! Everyone was so good looking and well built and had such great hair and clothes!

The last season really was quite sad, don’t know why they even bothered. There was no money for anything, much less space-opera special effects. A lot of the action took place in a bar . Just sad!
