I’m very upset to hear that his cancer is apparently not responding to treatment and he has decided to step down after this term.
He may not be the most vocal or visible member but he’s one of the good guys. He supports almost everything I do and from what I can tell he seems to be just a decent good guy.
Yes there is a scandal, a hit and run in 2004 where he says he did not realize that there was a collision. Apparently there was $500 worth of damage to both cars total so it’s not exactly Chappaquiddick.
Anyway, I hope we get someone good to run for the Democrats (I can’t see the district going red) and I hope Connelly beats his esophageal cancer.
