Looks cool.
Not bad. Is the SDMB thinking of implementing an icon?
I like it, Achernar–it’s simple, and ties right in with the SD logo, so it’s immediately recognizable. Looks good.
Cute. What do you propose we use it for?

Just asking.
Make it the bookmark icon. It shows up in some browsers in the address bar, and in some browsers in the list of bookmarks. Here are some examples:
Hmm. A nice possibility. Lemme see what we can do.
Oh, and thanks.

Okay, well whatever you decide.
I think it needs to be in ICO format (318 bytes).
With the ICO format I only see a blue square (IE 6.0).
You know, it’s weird, I do too, but when I download it again and pull it up from a local, downloaded copy, it looks right. So, it’s hard for me to tell if something’s wrong with the file or not. The same deal with the Treasure Troves icon.
I used IrfanView to convert it from GIF to ICO, but maybe somebody has something better?
It’s back
How to do it? Create an icon, 16x16 pixels and 16 colors max.
Frankly, I think everyone who wants to should be able to submit one & there should be a vote.
The one you made Achernar, does look like the one I would have made, however, you forgot a ‘T’… I think therefore, that ‘TSD’ looks better than ‘SD’, which could be: sea-damaged, sine die, South Dakota, special delivery, stage direction, standard deviation…
As opposed to Tactical Support Division, Tang Soo Do, Technical System Design, Texas School for the Deaf, Tentative Ship Date…
I think that having people make icons would be great, if it actually happened. I would probably vote for someone else’s too. I just threw mine together.
Or silly digression, sad distraction, sorry decision…
Achernar, I looked them both up, SD & TSD, in my Webster’s dictionary & ‘std’ didn’t have any listings, but ‘SD’ did.
BTW, I'm changing my technical info now to include that you can use a 32x32 pix icon. I just tried it & it works fine with netscape 7.
Most graphic programs let you save in ICO format.
Naw, not gonna say anything. That one’s just too easy.
Well, alright, it was early in the day “TSD” There, are you happy now Chronos ?
