I made mac and cheese soup

I haven’t had mac and cheese in years, so I thought I’d try Kraft Mac and Cheese Big Bowl. The instructions say to add water up to the line. What line? There’s a line pretty far down, didn’t seem like enough water. There’s another line up near the top, seemed like way too much water. I erroneously decided to use the higher line. When I got it out of the microwave the noodles were still hard, so I nuked it another couple of minutes (yes, it spilled over in the microwave), then added the cheese.

So I got mac and cheese soup. Not what I was expecting, but edible.

I’ll buy it again, and use the lower line.

That’s much better than what happened to me. I don’t know what they did to it but somehow the school cafeteria ended up with mac and cheese soup, which did not agree with me. At all.

Almost didn’t make it to the bathroom when I got home.

I totally misread the OP, and thought it was about something I had done this past winter, Macaroni and Beer 'n Cheese soup. Definitely a cold-weather dish, but make a good beer and cheese soupwhile adding a cup or so of cooked macaroni so you get some more chewiness out of it. I love me a good hot soup on cold days, but sometimes it just doesn’t satisfy the ‘mouth hunger’ if I don’t eat it with something I have to chew. Honestly, it was only a partial success, since the macaroni didn’t really add anything but the chewiness, but they didn’t take anything away either.
