Good post. I give it a solid 7.5. I read it about half an hour ago and had no idea it was your first Pit post. I particularly liked the line:
The only problem was that it was sort of vague. It jumped from point to point. But if you can come up with a cohesive line of thought and provide solid details, you’re A-OK, my friend.
All in all, you’ve definitely got the creative insults down. Practice makes perfect.
Maybe we should start a Practice pit thread, so new folks can sort of cut their teeth, you know?
Post a really foolish OP, something like “all gays and freemasons are runing the economy by buying up all the surplus government cheese” and then practice quotes and come backs and such…

I thought that was pretty good, Tristan. Eloquent and to the point. I, personally, am going nowhere NEAR that thread, since I really have no clue what it’s about anyway.
I thought of that very idea once or twice myself, but, alas, I believe it has been done before only to be met with a rather swifty poo-poo from the mods. Something about “that isn’t what this forum (The Pit) is about.”
No need for practice. The Pit is completely harmless if you are carrying runes.
Not bad. I’d give it a 5.5. You lived to type again. No practice posts in the Pit. You’ll get ripped apart if you even try, and not by the Mods but by the people who favor that forum. It’s happened before and it’s not a pretty sight.
The notably good point about your post is that you made your post without foul words, which I appreciate in a good rant. I don’t think foulness makes the post any better.
You can get your feelings hurt in the Pit, so make sure you have a tough hide if you linger there.
