I MPSIMS myself for being a dumbass.

Every year around Memorial Day, my SO and I fly out to Las Vegas to meet his family (parents, brother, sister-in-law and niece) for a vacation. It’s a wonderful time and I always make cherished memories there. This year, however, I made the very difficult decision not to go with him. You see, as of last fall I’m a full-time nursing student, and although I “officially” have the summer off, I opted to take a summer class – not a mandatory one, but one that I very much I wanted to take. It’s a “hybrid” course, half online and half on campus, with our in-person meeting day being Mondays. I didn’t want to miss a class meeting, so after a great deal of consideration I decided to forgo Vegas this year.

What I didn’t realize until it was far too late was that we don’t have class this Monday because it’s a holiday. :smack: So now my SO is in Vegas, lounging by the pool, seeing shows, having fabulous dinners, getting massages, etc., and I’m sitting at home bored, depressed and watching daytime TV.

I’m sure this thread will die a quick death, but I had nothing else to do. :frowning:

Any chance for a last-minute ticket deal from AirTran or Southwest?

Of course, they may not even fly out of an airport near you.

Look on the bright side - you have the whole place to yourself! Blast your music! Dance around naked! Rearrange stuff! Fart and burp at your leisure! Brush your teeth in the living room! Do all that stuff you can’t do in someone else’s presence.
