I must be the first one up MMP

First on Five!

All the veggies are in the stew, simmering away. Last thing to go in will be some barley. It’s smelling yummy! I’ve got a loaf of sourdough bread to serve with it. With the rain and the dropping temps, it’ll be a good supper.

Higgs has had her nails shortened. We didn’t make a trash run - not in the rain. I’ll take care of it next weekend.

Apart from cooking, it’s a nice, lazy day…

Gottie yay for DH coming home! I hope things go well! I think I’m in your neck of the world, so let me know if y’all need anything.

Flytrap the chicken bake was good. Snob. :stuck_out_tongue:

Today is shopping for pet food and, and… I got nothing. It’s a lovely weekend.

OK, who’s forcing **flytrap **to read this thread?
:stuck_out_tongue:

Stew was yum, and the sourdough bread was extra yum! We’ll digest for a while before having some ice cream.

Meanwhile, it’s getting dark. dammit.

I had popcorn for dinner because I wasn’t hungry

Us. We’re just too interesting and educational for our own good.

Tahred. Outta here. *** MWAH!***

Dindin has been ingested. 'Twas way nummy and we’s stuffded. Oh and because I know how much flytrap enjoys all posts food related, tomorrow’s N.O.L. shall be beast tips 'n rice and whatever vegetative matter I decide upon. In other news, 'tis rainy out.

While I’ve never raised lambs, IIRC, when we raised goats, the little guy’s testicles descended sometime during the first 6-8 months while they were still technically a kid. My WAG is that lambs are similar.

swampy, tartar sauce with steamed shrimp? Blasphemy!

gotti, I’m glad DH is home. Hope he regains some energy before the next round.

I got a few things done around the house today, but mostly worked on a Christmas project in the studio. I fixed a pork chop, sauteed green beans and sweet N.O.T. hashbrowns for supper. I discovered that I was out of cinnamon, so I went with five spice and ginger to season them. It was interesting.

Just had a pre Thanksgiving with my kids & parents: turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed NOT, broccoli, stewed tomatoes and cranberry sauce. I’ll not be available for the actual T-day, so this is what we do.

Other then the turkey, which Mom insisted on making, the event was my creation. We got a lesson on family history from my genealogist mother, including a brief discussion about Stephen Hopkins, the only man to sail to both Jamestown and to Plymouth on the Mayflower (with a stop on uninhabited Bermuda as a shipwreck in between). He was present for the first Thanksgiving.

Anyway, lovely weekend.

Nice weekend.

‘Tis rainin’ out and with a noticeable drop in the temp. A cool front is movin’ into south Jawja.

red you’ll be pleased to know I did not use tartar sauce, even though I like it with steamed shrimps. Instead I use Terry Ho’s Yum Yum Sauce. I do not like cocktail sauce.

Getting ready to turn in and trying to decide if I want to see the Peanuts Movie tomorrow. Decisions, decisions.

How is tonight different from all other nights?

I survived work. Canes pulled off a win. Dinner is Bachelor food ,with catfish, fresh garlic ,taragon, oregano, and basil with green beans, mushrooms and brown rice.

Please spoiler you sick fetishes.:eek::rolleyes::dubious:

swampy, i’m with red. Tartar sauce is a crime against shrimp.

Up, out. Off to top-secret location* near Rosie. This is a conflict with being in a secure location with friends this morning…in Chicago. Though TS location is much, much less expensive (no airfare/hotels, for starters).

  • I’ll modify that “I’ll tell you but I’d have to kill you” line → I’ll tell you…if someone kills flytrap.

I crashed around 9 last night, so it wasn’t quite so terrible when Higgs woke me at 4. In fact, I crashed so hard, I didn’t hear my sweetie come to bed, and I slept straight thru. So yay!

And so far this morning, I’ve emptied the dishwasher, fed the dog, cut up the broccoli for today, and made a DO-NOT-FORGET list that’s posted on the door. I still need to make up the cheese sauce to go on the broccoli, plus I’ll mostly cook the carrots so they’ll just need to be nuked at Mom’s.

Since **FCD **and I are both working, we’ll be dropping our daughter off at my sister’s house on the way back tonight. Sis lives about 2 miles from BWI so she can get the kid to Southwest tomorrow morning in plenty of time. When I booked this weekend, I was still retired and intended to do airport duty myself. But now I’m working and I lack vacation time. So this works out well.

Hugs all around as needed, with a smooch and a random goose thrown into the mix! I’ve read all and retained little, but I’ve finally got my computer cleaned up and working properly, so yay! Back to Firefox (I didn’t like Chrome.) Life is good.

Happy Sunday!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 66 Amurrkin out which is also the predicted high for the day, and rainy. It’s supposed to rain all day today and tomorrow. We shall see.

Today’s plans call for deheathenization, N.O.L. at da cave, and most likely some laundry. Wild times ahead!

OK, that’s all I got. I am in dire need of more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. At some point I must needs to purtify for deheathenization as well.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, off to work.

Happy Sunday!

No wonder y’all lost the war
