I nearly killed my kitten.

Well then she won’t have to worry about the kitty sneaking into the dryer, now will she? Problem solved!

That will be one hell of a bounce then!

OH yay, bodypoet! I have to confess, I was holding my breath when I clicked on this thread.

See, now, I was just assuming that the five-year-old was allowed to name the pets.

Congrats on the good news. Our beloved kitty is going through a bout of pancreatitis and fatty liver disease, so the prospect of losing one so dear to you is very real. We’re glad little Bounce pulled through.

I think they would have to rename the cat to Thump at that point.

I kid, I kid!

Really glad the kitty is doing so well after what its been through.

Glad it turned out okay (and glad I waited to read this til it was all over). Bounce is a great name, but what a way to get it!

As for the dryer door, maybe you could put a big ol’ magnet on the door to stick it shut until it’s fixed?

HooRAAAAAAY!
Bounce is a good name but since the guy is gray I suggest you call him Lint.

Cheers for kitty’s recovery!

We learned long ago to always check the dryer for cats since our calico would nip in and snuggle down for a snooze at any opportunity, even in an empty, winter-basement chilly dryer.

Today’s the day! The vet’s office reports that Bounce is doing much better and can come home this afternoon.

On the down side, it’s gonna cost me $300 and they don’t have any sort of friendly work-with-ya sort of thing. Unfortunately, I don’t have a rainy day savings to wipe out, so I guess we’ll write a check and start scrambling.

But I’d pay twice that, just to know that I didn’t, in fact, kill the little guy. I’m so so SO glad he’s made it, I can’t even begin to describe the guilt I was feeling.

Gotta go get the welcome home kitty stuff together…I’m thinking a soft towel, a little litter box all of his own, and a nice quiet space in the bedroom.

Hurray for Bounce the Incredible Dryer Kitty!

Yes! I’m so happy to hear that the little guy’s coming home.

Hey, you got a PayPal account? I’d chip in a few bucks toward little Bounce’s tab (especially if you post pictures!) I’m a sucker for kitty stories with happy endings.

Do you have a paypal account? If so I would be more than happy to donate to it for the kitty vet.

I am a sucker for cats. I have 4 of little furballs. I do however expect to see pictures of the little guy.

hahahah sim post  We think alike.

Wow - seven minutes before the first “I’ll chip in” post. (Hey - I was at the bank!)

So - what’s the requisite Paypal email address? I can only toss a few simoleans into the pot, but I’ll do what I can!

They wouldn’t hold the kitty hostage, would they?

Oh, man. Now I’m crying again, you guys. I should’ve considered what a kind bunch of people I’m dealing with here.
I don’t know what to say! But considering the circumstances, I guess “yes!” would be appropriate.
BUT!! I will pay everyone back, please. It may take a bit, but I can do at least that much.
AND I’ll send you pictures of Bounce.

I don’t know how to express the way I feel right now, except that Sage keeps asking me, “Y’okay, Mommy? You sad?” sniff

I’m out the door in a few minutes to fetch Bounce.

Oh, and I nearly forgot: I can’t get into paypal right now. I used to have a paypal account, though, so I guess it’s still active. I think my id is my email address: karolhovis@hotmail.com…if anyone has any luck, let me know–I haven’t had any luck with paypal the last few times I’ve tried to open the site.

Yaaay! Bounce is coming home! (Oh, and I love the name Lint too…he may very well have several names before this is all over!)

I’d be naming the kitty Kenmore, but that is just me

Glad to hear the little bugger is doing good, I know I would be mighty upset with myself if I had done the same thing.

But what if the dryer was a Maytag?

So, you were just home for ‘lunch’, eh?

I don’t think it’s just you–I can’t get in either, and the spouse couldn’t get in this morning to check on something else. Hopefully it’ll get cleared up soon. I’ll keep trying.
