My company Christmas party is coming up this weekend. My preferred companion lives a little too far (2500 miles) away to make it.
I send a plea to the teeming millions: Dinner and drinks in Banff (no dancing required), free accomodation, and I can get you such a deal on lift tickets at Sunshine. 75 cm base currently and lovely weather.

Man, I would give my left nut to go to Banff again. The missus and I got married in December of 1995 and went to Banff for the honeymoon. We stayed 3 days at the Chateau Lake Louise and 4 days at the Banff Springs Hotel. We got a great deal, since it was before the Christmas season.
I went skiing at Sunshine on our last day there after my wife had torn her ACL (the ligament on the outside of her leg at the knee). She tricked me into thinking it wasn’t bad, so that I would ski and she could go shopping.
We spent many an evening at the Rose and Crown sipping hot toddies and buttered rum.

I’m busy Friday night but I could make it Saturday night. I can send you a couple of not great pictures so you can get an idea of what I look like. My hair is much longer now than in the pics so I’ll do the Steven Segal ponytail thing if need be. That’s how I wear it when I’m working anyway. I do still have a couple of suits that fit, I think.

Actually, I would be there for you and I have Fri-Sun off this weekend. But… (there’s always a but) I’m getting the brace off my knee on Friday and I know I won’t be up for any skiing. The first weekend without the brace is gonig to be spent getting used to moving around without the brace again. Sorry, Gingy, I’d have loved to gone.

handy, Banff is the most beautiful place on the planet. Banff National Park was Canada’s first National Park. It is in the Canadian Rockies, along the western border of Alberta.
