Here’s the deal… I bought Diablo II (in Korea) a few months ago, installed it, and tried to play…
I have played a few times, with limited success because the manual that came with the game is in KOREAN! I can’t make heads or tails of it, despite 30 mins. or so with a Korean dictionary!
Astrogirl, despite speaking pretty good conversational English, is pretty useless for this… (Ag:“The longer knife also can be used for the crystal, if you have one… then it can be a more longer knife! IF you can use a magic potion as it can be used.” Me: “Huh??? What?”)
So, does anyone know where I can find this info on the net? Failing this, would anyone be willing to photocopy or scan this info from the manual (in English!) and send it to me? (I’ll pay any postage fees!) I don’t need any of the nonsense about ‘how this happened’ or historical details… just the stuff about how to use weapons/potions/gems/ etc…
This website has every bit of gameplay information you could want. If you have any questions not covered there, let me know and I shall seek the answer.
Never had any need to look at the manual myself, the in-game explanations are that good.
Scanning/copying the manual and sending it to you would be illegal (violation of copyright) but I think that, given that you bought the game, it wouldn’t be too much of a problem.
It has a lot of basic info in it. Most other sites provide in depth info taking for granted that you already got the basic info from the manual. The game itself is not that difficult to figure out, IMO. Play it a bit, and make a new character when you think you have the basics down.
