My friends and I are planning on getting matching silver rings with our initials on the inside and a nice quote on the outside. As we will probably be attending colleges far away from one another, we’re trying to think of a sweet quote about friendship with bonus points if it has references to the distance that will soon be between us. Any ideas?

It might be thought sappy, or childish, but I’ve always liked this bit from Winnie the Pooh:
That last bit, “I just wanted to be sure of you” is what I’d suggest for a ring inscription.
