I’ve had the same hairstyle forever. My hair is pin-straight, dark brown with very little lighter brown highlights, and is about five inches past my shoulder, so it’s pretty long for me. I want something shorter and a little choppy-looking. I don’t want to get curls or make my hair wavy. I just want to keep it straight. So, any suggestions? Pictures would be nice. If you think you’ll need a picture of me to suggest anything, just say so.
A picture of you would probably be helpful. I’d hate to reccomend a hairstyle that looked awful on your face.
I always thought Lisa Rinna had a nice choppy looking short 'do.
And I’ve long been a sucker for a Louise Brooks bob.
Here’s a picture of me with my hair tied back. I hope that helps.
Mullets are always in style.
A few weeks ago, I was looking for a change in my hairstyle, too. So I wandered downtown Pittsburgh until I saw a hair stylist, walked in, and told the lady with the scissors to surprise me. The result was strange, sort of hypnotic, and very freeing. If you’re looking for a change…
I have hair similar to yours. When I wanted to get my hair cut short, I had the (good) stylist do what she wanted and ended up with a sort of Mandy Moore (no popups that I could tell) cut.
I would say regardless of what you do, layers are your friend. They’ve made a world of difference to my flat, super-straight hair.
How short is “shorter”? Can you go this short?
This woman has a less shocking cut that I think would work well with your face:
Your face is round which means that you might not be able to do anything but very short bangs without looking like your bangs are trying to attack your face.
i vote for this one or something similar as well. the good thing about it is, it’s a great length for going shorter or if you want to grow it back out, it won’t take too long.
I second that. I think it would be a nice look for you.
Your hair sounds exactly like mine was before I got it cut. Longish, brown, stick straight and thin.
I got quite a few inches whacked off, so that my hair was just barely above my shoulders. I had the guy part it on the side and give me some of those fall-in-your-face bangs or whatever they’re called. It looks really cute when I flip it out because it has different layers. I also got it hilighted. I’d give you a picture of myself for comparison but I’m not using my home computer.
I guess it’s kinda like this but obviously not that bleach-blonde. And minus the tiara. But the basic cut is pretty much similar.
