Another update!
Yesterday the complete collection was delivered to Kansas State University for their special collection of cookbooks. It was rather wrenching to give it up, especially the fourteenth printing from my grandmother. But it will have a better chance of “long term survival” with the school. And others will get to see it and learn from it.
The curator of the special collections that I have been talking with these last couple of years told us a lot about the renovations at the library itself. And he told my sister and I about how others have offered various copies of the books, but never a complete collection.
I hope my grandmother would be good with this.
