I need help with my daughter's homework!

My daughter needs to find on-line maps of Italy that show agriculture (what is grown where) and natural resources. I’ve tried to help, but have not come up with anything. Does anyone know where I can find this stuff? (If maps are not available, then a good description of these things would be helpful as well.)

The CIA World Factbook is a good resource. It might not give you everything you’re looking for, but it’s a good place to start.

The CIA’s World fact book is a great place to start when researching countries.

Google returns lots of hits on Italy Maps, so refine he search terms and I bet you will find what you need.

Heh. That ten minute wait after hitting submit kinda blows.

Try getting a list of Italian provinces, and searching each of them in Google along with ‘agriculture’.

Actually, try ‘agriculture tourism’, and I bet it will find the sites dedicated to telling tourists about the area, which will included some agriculture. I hope.

A little more informative than the CIA site at the detail level is the Nationmaster website for Agriculture and Italy. Nationmaster’s basic index page for Italy is here, from which you can look up Italian geography facts, but I did not find a resouce atlas or map such as you are seeking.

You might have better luck on Google searching on carta italia, but then you may need to be able to read Italian. The site, www.ecotur.it/1.htm , has a lot of information in Italian. (How much you could use, I have no idea.) here is the Google translation of that page.

Hmmm, this looks like a case for PC Globe. What ever happened to that fine piece of software, anyway?

Here are some good maps, if you can read Italian ;j
