At least he killed that Mary Jo Kopechne bitch.
To the tune of “The Irish Washer Woman”
McTavish is dead and his brother don’t know it,
His brother is dead and McTavish don’t know it,
They’re both of them dead and they’re in the same bed,
But neither one knows that the other one’s dead.
Thank you, thank you.
Hey now. What if the children she didn’t have would have been reading this?
Gosh, I missed you.
And don’t forget the other one.
Well, you don’t see any socialists around, do you? Scared off, I presume.
That’s why I always carry my magic socialist-repelling rock.

Winner winner chicken dinner.
Actually, no, it can’t. Thurmond and Kennedy did not have the same sort of Senate careers at all.
Well, no. Without my special sunglasses, they just look like ordinary people.
I just want to say that I would have posted that about most politicians I disagreed with. It’s nothing personal.
I honeslty can’t say a single good thing about Ted Kennedy.
Um, who is he again? I gather he was a politician, and that he’s dead, but neither of those are necessarily good things…
Well, it’s possible that Crafter_Man thinks that those are bad bills or shouldn’t have been passed.
Fuck those kids. The eggs went down with the ship.
That’s all you’ve got? Surely the OP can find a quote of mine that is more pit-worthy.
Yes. Very possible.
Yeah, but put them back on … formaldehyde face!!!
I do wish some folks would stop with the Mary Jo comments, because they come across as absurdly disingenuous. Not that I don’t think you’re wholly unsympathetic to her death, but its vilification has a ring of hat-hanging. Take a look at the Strom or Novak threads… plenty of vitriol for their works and politics. This seems like such a convenient excuse for hate.
As for the pitting, it’s kind of poor. We have death-dancing threads all the time about conservatives, and while the what’s wrong with you is usually brought up in-thread, I’m pretty sure most OPs and dance partners don’t get pitted for it.
Challenge: Name a long-term, iconic conservative whose death would warrant the better-than-usual treatment Kennedy has gotten.
That’s happening with more and more these days, no?
Nah. Cut and paste don’t take that long.
