However, in the troll thread, we have a general guideline not to @-mention other posters or link posts.
If we made a rule not allowing @-mentions or links in this thread (you can only use > to quote things), would that maybe be a viable solution? It does suck not being able to pit bad behaviors. We wind up just putting them all in the troll thread, even if we don’t think they’re exactly trolling.
Maybe the thread could be named “disingenuous posts” instead of posters, as attacking posts is allowed in other forums. Any disingenuity will necessarily show through the posts, but here in the Pit you’re allowed to also attack the person who made them.
I’m bumping this because under their new handle, damuriajashi has been trolling the hell out of the Clarence Thomas thread.
Trying to drive it off a cliff of bothsiderism (which had been fully acknowledged in the thread) but ignoring the freaking scale of CT’s actions - yeah, that’s deliberate and willful trolling. I had not missed said poster in any way, and hope that the mods get rid of them sooner than later.
(and I’m leaving out the fucking Star Chamber references in the ATMB thread after they got a nice fresh warning)
I set up a separate Judicial dishonesty thread, so use it if you need to. Rather than unsubscribing from the CT thread I just put DA on ignore. Perpetual. And hopefully the mods will, in light of the recent warning, language in the ATMB thread, and his past warnings and behaviors just give him the “too much trouble” boot.
You might as well ask a housefly to recite Hamlet’s soliloquy.
I’m still pissed about the “Conservative Beer” thread being closed. I was hoping to get some good ideas on how to dispose of shitty beer that people leave behind after parties that they shouldn’t have been invited to.
Sheesh, don’t they teach kids in school any more about the difference between facts and opinions? What he’s posting in that thread aren’t opinions, they’re facts. Specifically, untrue facts.
NO!!! Not until he starts his thread about anti Asian discrimination and, with his new misunderstanding of the rules, reports all the other posts as hi-jacks.
