Don’t know if it’s appropriate at this time to mention one of my favourite (short but sweet) SDMB posts, by Ann_Hedonia, suggesting that DemonTree go smash their fucking fingers with a hammer on the keyboard (or something to that effect, hence no quotes).
The acronym-based etymology for the term is automatically suspect, just on account of it being an acronym-based etymology.

Honestly, it’s more interesting seeing some of the usual suspects standing up and complaining about the -biased- moderation. Oh, a few are doing so in the “technically correct” way, but others…
Although the point was well made that no, it’s not biased moderation if say definitions were in the rules, to which the response was that those rules were wrong and how could I be expected to know them…

I sympathize. I too receive a lot of negative replies every time I question some minority group’s right to exist, even when I’ve been unfailingly polite.
It’s so unfair that I should be held accountable for what I say in public fora.

I’ve been arguing with DemonTree for quite literally years, in public posts and in PMs, trying to explain to her the many problems with misgendering trans people, in specific or in general.
“Denying people’s right to exist” is a stupid way to describe what she is doing.
