Looking at the album back, they are not helping dispell the “Paul is dead” rumors.
I gotta say, of all the hills to try to nail DrDeth to, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds isn’t much of one.

Lennon’s son, Julian, inspired the song with a nursery school drawing he called “Lucy – in the sky with diamonds”. Shortly after the song’s release, speculation arose that the first letter of each of the title’s nouns intentionally spelled LSD. Although Lennon denied this, the BBC banned the song.
In a 2004 interview, Paul McCartney said that the song is about LSD, stating, “A song like ‘Got to Get You Into My Life,’ that’s directly about pot, although everyone missed it at the time.” “Day Tripper,” he says, “that’s one about acid. ‘Lucy in the Sky,’ that’s pretty obvious. There’s others that make subtle hints about drugs, but, you know, it’s easy to overestimate the influence of drugs on the Beatles’ music.”
Note that the first paragraph implicitly explains Lennon’s denial of the obvious at the time. It may well be that they got the title from wee Julian’s drawing, but there’s a reason they picked that particular drawing to immortalize in song.
It just goes to show, there’s no fig leaf small enough that somebody, somewhere will still fail to see what it’s hiding.

Not that it matters but is DrDeth male? I notice people in this thread referring to DD as “he”, but I could swear I have a memory of it coming out that DD was a “she”.
Going back for well more than a decade and a half I see people referring to DrDeth as “him” and never one retraction, so I think it’s safe to say that he identifies as male.
Also, I don’t recall him mentioning it once in this thread, where he tries to insist that any reference to the “Karen” trope is misogyny.
One thing DrDeth does often is fall prey to the “argument from authority” fallacy, and claims to be an expert in every little thing. I can’t fathom a scenario where he wouldn’t mention being a woman in that thread if that was the case.

OK, thanks for that. Maybe I’m mistaken. I don’t have a memory of him confirming either way, just a post that seemed like it came from a female that cast some doubts that caused minor discussion. Either way, like I said, doesn’t matter and that was a long time ago.

Rather it’s his penchant for taking things you say, twisting it around to the opposite, chiding you for the opinion you didn’t express, and then refusing to acknowledge when you try to correct him. And then he badgers you about that thing he falsely claims you said.
That’s why I put him on ignore. I don’t have many on ignore but he’s one of the few. A pity because I had some good discussions with him and share many of the same opinions on various things until he turns into Mr. Hyde again.
