My friend is a pediatric urology surgeon and often sees patients over Zoom for post-op checks, especially since Covid. It’s an area of concern in the medical field. The law doesn’t fully protect them in some jurisdictions. If everyone was a rational actor, it wouldn’t be a problem and no medical doctors have been unjustly accused but…
But do take a minute to pity people like DrDeth. They live in a world where this happens all the time, where cities are knee-deep in homeless feces and you’re mugged twice between the cab and the curb. And in their America, Obama’s still trying to take their guns, you can get crucified for ignoring someone’s pronoun, and fired just for saying Merry Christmas to someone.

There are reports in some of the news outlets that the parents were put on a sex offenders list, but looking at the decision of the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit on a suit by the parents against the case workers, it says:
I don’t see how they could have been put on a sex offenders list without ever been arrested or charged with any crime.

I got my issues with him–long ago I even started a Pit thread about him–but I don’t think this is accurate mockery. He’s a long-time Democrat gun rights old white dude who has weird calcified ideas about a lot of shit, but I don’t think that’s the shit he’s calcified on.
I agree. There are a lot of legitimate gripes about him, but he’s not a Bill O’Reilly conservative.
No he’s your typical White liberal who’s more than willing to throw everyone outside of his demographic to the dogs in order to get his economic preferences enabled.
He’d embrace Jim Crow if it got him the safety net for his white friends and family he wants.
He’d then deny his racist choices and tell everyone to patiently wait for their turn, least we anger the “real” racists into voting against his economic interests.
Thus demonstrating that, despite complaints otherwise, this site doesn’t have a bias against conservatives but against dumbasses.
