Trolls are mostly a one-trick pony. Like Chevy Chase, they’re kind of funny the first time you see them but they wear thin quickly. I think the Do Not Feed Trolls policy, combined with merciful euthanasia good PM.

Sure, you’re all glad he’s gone, but answer me this…what’s the difference between a one-day-old baby and an adult Giraffe?

Why kill trolls? Why can’t they be adopted and raised by a family of mods? Give them a chance! Why kill them off? WHY?

Is it old and crotchety, besides jumping the gun to the point of being off topic, for me to fondly think of how Mod Pitting competitions were long ago outlawed? Would it be equally crotchety to lament on it’s non-enforcement?

What non-enforcement? The types of threads that are discouraged are the “I Pit SkipMagic for being so low in the Mod Pitting Contest (wink)” type, i.e. joke/fake Pittings. I’m not quite sure what this thread is: fake Pitting to complain about the troll feeding rules? mild but serious Pitting? Suggestion for a new forum? Homage to a now-departed troll? I have no idea.

It seemed harmless enough to leave open for a few hours in case anyone had any strong opinions on recent troll bannings or the troll-feeding rules in general, but I think it’s time to close it. Anyone who wants to Pit me for real, or comment on the board’s rules/policies is of course welcome to start a new thread.
