Finding a thread from him was akin to finding a freakshow.
He sucked us in so we would at least view his manic rants, occasionally getting reasonable responses from people before he collapsed under the weight of his own insanity.
Sometimes it is fun to feed the trolls! Besides the existing forums we should create a SDMB Trollway. All troll threads can be moved there for the purposes of our enjoyment and to feed our sense of superiority to the poor, misguided troll. Everyone knows that the threads are pointless and stupid and the OP was just an attention getter usually created by some guest looking for a few chuckles. Why not let the thread continue as long as anyone is interested in sticking it to the OP. Language and behavior rules of the Pit would apply on the Trollway, along with drivebys to flip off the moron. Giraffe, how could you be so cruel?

Ah. I thought the only consequence of that thread was that it was closed. I guess I didn’t read it closely enough, due to tears of sorrow over all those poor infants being killed for Fox’s dinner.
Well, it’s hardly fair to let loose the ban-stick at the first sign of idiocy. You must lure them slowly into a sense of safety, so that they feel free to froth more copiously at the mouth, and to rant with the full weight of their craziness. And then – only then – does the subtle Moderator on the hunt finally strike; just as the troll thinks that they have triumphed, and that there are thousands upon thousands of reasonable-minded posters squirming at their chairs, just about to angrily rebuff him with their futile, yet coherent, responses …
BOOM! Just in the moment of their greatest glory, they are thrown from Paradise to languish in the Abyss with the socks, spammers, and teeming masses of jerks of ages gone by.
But seriously - if we banned people for their first idiot post, we’d have a substantially smaller user base.

It did me. I went looking for a google image, but I was only able to find one of him with his face pressed up against the Phantom Zone (after Gene Hackman defeated him).
I don’t see that he was doing anything wrong other than being an idiot. There are people who’ve been much more annoying for much longer without being banned. The thing he was all het up about was pretty stupid, but I don’t see that as being ban-worthy. There’re a lot of people in the states who think that stem cells are people. I’d think it would be valuable to have a representative of that dumbass view here, just to study it.
