My comments have been added to the GA thread a couple posts below Magiver’s blather cited by @Spiderman. Thanks @Joey_P for your video cites. I used one there but didn’t attribute it to you so as not to draw attention from that thread to this thread.
It’s actually a remarkable amount of restraint on his part. He’s just simply wrong in an uncharacteristic way. He made a short, disbelieving comment, and so far hasn’t pushed back against anyone who proved him wrong. This is almost worthy of applause coming from him.
Or he hasn’t had time to get around to insane doubling-down, crackpot theories, and lies about what other people said yet.
I have to admit my first reaction to the headline, not the article, was that it was a low pass over an airport with maybe a lazy climbout that scared some airport neighbors. The other possibility being just too unthinkable for a professional outfit like Icelandic.
Then I cheated and read the article I was going to comment on. Oops.
He’s making a jackass of himself in the “United States and Israel are bombing Iran {for current/ongoing events, past/future have specific threads}” thread.
But then in his response he blew off my point and pulled his usual pilot attitude thing: "If only people would do everything perfectly every time (like I would) then [this accident] would not have happened.
