I find that a very high % of posts like this on the SDMB are posted by imbeciles who think something ironical is happening, when actually nothing of the sort has occurred. The delusions that lead to one believing in far leftism also cloud one’s judgement about much of reality, and lead one to believe one is “winning” internet arguments when in fact you are just flailing about saying nothing, contradiction nothing, and proving no points.
I’m aware you have mixed ethnicity, but you do not identify as white based on anything you have ever posted here. In fact I would say psychologically most of your identity is actually tied up in being “anti-white.” Which again, ties into my belief that you need serious therapy and help to work through a lot of emotional issues you have. I can only say that I did call it about his stupid refuge in rules and regulations that he was pulling out of his ass. It would be OK to mention some etiquette, even in the pit; but it is really dumb to demand others to follow rules that are not in the pit while insulting other’s mental condition, ethnicity, race or ability to google. 
Got to admit, I used to think he was a reasonable poster, whatever political preferences he had, but this thread (and the associated threads that led to it) has really opened my eyes.
There are posters who respect evidence and reason, even when those don’t always fit their worldview, and then there are posters who have to be right, evidence and reason be damned. I didn’t realize until recently this was a case of the latter.
I did notice back in 2014 that he jumped to disparage me and the way I posted cites in climate change discussions, nothing has changed.

But seriously, Martin Hyde also showed a very common trait seen on many conservatives that looked normal and then are not able to stop following the misleading propaganda they consume that turns more unhinged as time goes by. As noted in the threads that led to this pitting, he makes a mountain of the idea that we are calling him a Nazi or a holocaust denier, that is not the case, we are noticing that he is mostly a jerk. And so far he is in the territory of obfuscating what real reprehensible people did in the past.
Sure, there is no direct defense of the evil doers, but it is a tactic of guys that would like to seed doubts about those bad people needing to face justice, or their victims get some reparations.
And in the past I did notice several posters that started first as climate change lukewarmers or deniers. Showing later as nativists, and then obfuscating efforts to seek justice for the victims and then showed up as complete fascists and then get banned, not much for the racist bit, but mostly because the jerk part becomes more prominent.
As I pointed to another long time conservative poster that is falling into the same rabbit hole in another thread, Martin is not in the last phases of that process but he is getting closer. It is time for him though to get other sources of information and stop being a jerk before it is really too late.
