Well, you’ve found that it’s pointless to try to argue or even have a discussion with him. The next option is open mockery.
Him: “Bill Clinton had Vince Foster killed because he had an affair with Hillary!”
You: “Yeah, and he hired the Invisible Space Alien hit men to do it! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!”
Him: “The bombings in Korea wouldn’t have happened if McCain had been elected!”
You: “You’re right, he would have put a stop to the Secret Medical Testing in South Korea so the North wouldn’t have had to destroy the evidence. BWAHAWHAWHAW!!!”
Sure he’ll think you’re an asshole, but it’ll be fun.
Pretzel bags of the exact type and size used by American Airlines at that time, bearing a lot number that can be traced to the catering company that would have stocked Flight 77 before its departure from Dulles.
How come no one seems to have turned up one of those, I asks ya?
I play that game, but with the NY Times comments and Bush/Palin isntead of Obama. The Bush comments have tapered off a bit in the past two years, but it’s still a fairly common theme. Turns out the libtards are still kind of obsessed with Bush.
Meh… there are idiots everywhere, they’re just more obvious when they say obnoxious stuff that is obviously blinded by their politics. I’ve heard the Vince Foster thing before, years ago. Hell, for obnoxious super-conservative drivel, I’ve even heard some convoluted explanation about how the recession is Jimmy Carter’s fault.
But I’ve seen liberal idiots who believe equally obnoxious stuff. Let’s not forget all the 9/11 conspiracy theorists saying it was an inside job by the Bush administration. Or, for instance, I once knew someone who seemed to honestly believe that Bush was a part of the Illuminati and they used a weather control machine to send Katrina to New Orleans.
It’s unfortunate, but there’s quite a few people on the extremes who let their political ideologies blind their common sense. They’ve so demonized their political opponents that it is almost impossible for them to not see them somehow involved in some perceived evil.
more common around elections and when there’s a big piece of legislation coming up, but even when people disagree they can usually keep it civil or just bicker between themselves and leave the rest out of it.
The problem is when you get nitwits like Ludovic’s coworker, who get one idea lodged into their heads and you can’t dislodge it with a ballpeen hammer, and they insist on bringing it up into Every. Goddamn. Conversation you try to have with them.
@ Mr. Excellent: mind if I call you Bruce to keep it clear?
OMG! I just realized that this was part of the plan. They needed her invisible plane so that it couldn’t be traced in the 9/11 attacks. It’s all starting to make sense now…
“Everyone” is wrong and blinded by the wool that has been pulled over our eyes by Obama, the CIA, the Illuminati, the Mafia, BP, Big Pharma, and IBM! It was Obama’s *grandparents *who had him killed, right after announcing Obama’s birth in the newspaper under their address so there would be “proof” that he was born in the US when he ran for the presidency 40+ years later.
I’m already planning for when my 2 year old runs for office. I’ve started digging up dirt on the kids at the daycare in case I need to blackmail them later.
