Objectively, I feel like I (and many others) should be more grossed out, horrified, and indignant from the certain knowledge that Opal’s BM’s are normally “the consistency of peanut butter”, than her offense over my rather innocent offering of a recipe for Buckeyes.

Screw it. I’ve reconsidered. Let’s leave this one open. There is already another locked thread in the pit about Opal, so I fear if this one closes we will get multiple threads. I’m done pitting her, because all I wanted to take her to task for was freaking out in one thread, but y’all can knock yourselves out.
Know that I am not defending her, I’m just tired of listening to y’all beating the dead horse.
Personally, I got nothing against her… I don’t mind her posts and I am not pitting her, just a bit of funny TMI.
Who is this **Opal **you folks are complaining about? 
I have to admit, other than the completely annoying and tired “Hi Opal” bullshit that pops up occasionally, I have never had the misfortune of stumbling onto one of her threads. After reading this, I can’t believe my good fortune! Maybe I just stay out of the right forums, or maybe I’ve only skimmed her posts, completely missing the joy she’s brought the board since 1999.
I happened to click on a few links in this thread and a couple of others just to see what folks were talking about. I’ve missed alot, and yet so little.
I think I’ll slip back into my fortress of ignorance and solitude* now.

I can’t thank enough the people who feel moved to post “Opal who?” or “I never noticed her” in this Pit thread. You really provide a refreshing perspective to the issue.

I wasn’t trying to be a prick. I actually found myself thanking Tim Tebow for not stumbling on her works until now.
I don’t have a problem with you pitting her, and from the small amount of stuff I read this evening I certainly understand it. But is there any reason that you can’t make your life easier by
- ignoring ANY thread started by her and
- putting her on ignore, so posts disappear?
As to the second suggestion, I honestly don’t think you will miss anything of importance, and threadshitting wlll be impossible for her because you won’t see a damn thing she posts.
I was amazed at the comments posted in her “I’ve changed” or “I’m a new person” thread, not to mention her own posts. Good grief, what a mess. But you don’t need to rehash all that, do you? Or do you?
